right.....but we can all work on responses that are more de-escalating than defensive or even sometimes offensive in nature.  As humans it is so easy to meet offense with either defense or a stronger offense...vs de-escalating. 

for example here, the leader of the site could have set the tone of understanding and neutralize any perceived hostility by simply informing the poster they were responding to an old thread.  Perhaps even included the piece about JSAR possibly producing the parts again in the future.  The part about patents and deep pockets was unproductive and IMO a little below what we should expect out of our community's leadership.

That being said, when we feel we are under attack and stressed, we are only human.  Each of us are fully capable of not putting our best foot forward, and instead placing it directly in our mouth....

 Your right im a bit punchy you would be to if everytime you post something you get attacked that said the valve worked awesome but was not a good seller it took forever to sell the 50 we made in the inital run. So making more isnt a good business decision JSAR is better off making MROD valves and PROD valves as they sell quite well. Thanks and sorry for my attitude

I see a good bit of frustration being directed at you, Travis.   It's a definite trend.  And I've never seen the need for it.  But for some reason people seem to identify you as a valid target for such.

In my current state, I'd likely be a complete orafice about it. People have limits.  And sometimes life pushes us to and past them for periods of time.  I'd like to be a batter person.  But as of lately I have been volatile and reactionary.  And that's me doing the best I can.

Travis, your only human and being under attack puts a person in fight or flight mode. You took note and acknowledged and that's really about all a guy can do and then do our best to not let it happen again. I don't know what is going on exactly but it seems like there is a lot of discord going around the GTA right now. We all need to be a little kinder to each other. We might not agree on certain things, heck we might have a serious dislike for some of our fellow members but the bottom line is that all that BS will do nothing but tear us apart and be the downfall for the GTA.

Just an observation, but you're calling Travis out on his comment about deep pockets. Yet no mention of Rich B's inflammatory remark about boasting? So essentially Rich is asking for someone to do all the hard work for him by developing and testing a valve, but is dissatisfied when said valve is no longer available. And to put icing on the cake, he also wants the design put up for sale?

I don't need to defend Travis; he's a big boy. IMO, the first shot fired was from Rich and I didnt see anything particularly defensive with Travis' response. Twice he stated plain fact; 1) they were no longer available and 2) if you want to buy a patent, you'd better have the bucks. Especially one that is currently in use.

I'm all for calling a spade a spade...but the spade caller needs to give both parties a fair shake.

This will be my only response, I am not looking to "pick on" or be "picked on".  In this instance I am doing neither....

Like it or not, owners/leaders have a greater responsibility than individual contributors...either they learn and adapt to that responsibility or they do not remain owners/leaders for the long term.  My interests are those of this entire community's continued existence.  In order for that to be maintained, we must have good leadership.

Fairness and equality is not just for the masses. True, leaders must be held to a higher standard, but that does not mean their rights as individuals must suffer. Or is it a sliding scale that allows disparity just because of position? If that's the case then Travis can just as well shut this whole thing down and leave up only what he wants. After all, he is the owner; we're just here enjoying the facilities. Oh right; he needs to be fair to everyone here while they are seemingly entitled to take shots at him. I still can't wrap my head around that one, sorry.

Highly doubtful .... JSAR as it was previous operated within a complete Machine Shop environment.  That Shop ( Rogue Energies ) closed up, sold off the equipment and all those originally involved behind the JSAR air gun project have moved on.
JSAR as a brand is currently a 1 man operation and outsourcing most of the parts and pieces that make a Raptor Rifle.

Now if or not the other shop that for a spell was said to be taking over the valve manufacturing side of the biz is still doing so or not have no idea.  ( There name escapes me at the moment )

If it is a balanced valve like I had on my Bulldog, along with a ti tube, I highly recommend you do not get it.

It took 5 trip to us po to get the tube to fit, and the valve leaked down each week.  I sold it to a member with full disclosure, he got it going, but had a lot of experience with the balanced and other hot rod valves.

Great idea, poor execution.
