900+ fpe-45 Texan-New Doug Noble Valve-VIDEO

Hi All,
Testing my Texan with Doug's New Valve. Video is 2 parts 10 days apart. Max weight was a 412 gr and gun/valve had more horsepower left...Ordered a $25 LEE 450 gr mold.......10 days later, Drilled  nose and weight sorted to get max fpe before at max pressure speed and energy  went backwards......Just testing. Regular shooting I use 3500 psi and valve passes so much air it moves HEAVY bullets accurately and good speed.

Modifications ongoing. 3 valve stems were broken. One Top hat fractured. So much air passing one seal tried to go too.  I am still shooting as modifications pending......

Interesting it shoots that LEE 453 gr bullet very well......Below pics posted first 11 shots from gun after elevation sight in. 3500 psi and 865 fpe  Shoots the 200 yd EBR target well too Also pic of 453 gr LEE BULLET

The inline valve is so much superior on flowdynamics over the conventional valve.
And more important the gun is accurate!


Doug has the .457 fpe crown now  way to go!
I think I need a new valve design

Me  TOO!!!   I find it interesting that NO ONE comments on the rifle itself.......There is NOT ANYTHING ON THAT GUN that is AIRFORCE except the frame and trigger that came in frame.......EVERYTHING ELSE and I MEAN EVERYTHING  is sourced by me or made by another....There is not another like this .45 TEX look alike anywhere......Can't go just buy one off shelf..........

Now that is a flippin' powerhouse valve right there! Kudos to Doug, he's a great guy and does great work!

I don't know about easy. Making clock pieces as you say. The stem was made out of hardened 17-4 C40. I broke 2 inserts threading it.

Stem material is good. Now I have to work on the top hat strength.

Well, I didn't want to comment on the gun because wanted to see if anyone else spots the fact that you don't have the LW barrel anymore. Looks like the new custom barrel is a winner!

The 4500psi tank is your trademark allready, so no need to comment on that.
Its a precision instrument like all of your guns, made to do one thing very good!

Edit: forgot to mention that it tracks beautifully. Straight back recoil, just perfect.

Thanks NICK.........Doug modified 2 stock valves for me first, each more powerful ........I had ideas for the rifle and wanted the valve to PASS MORE AIR....Doug did ALL THE VALVE WORK.......Once we got making some real power stock materials failed even larger diam.....Then different steels etc......

It is the most powerful .45 out there.......AIR POWERED. If we powered with HELIUM it would be ASTRONOMICAL....Will do that later in year just for giggles as I have a booster. ......

There is another valve that makes claims and are NOT ACCURATE RESULTS......I was an early adopter of that valve. Doug had modified the STOCK VALVE before I received this valve, and  I made more power with modded STOCK VALVE at 3600 psi than I could get with this other valve at ANY PRESSURE.....3900psi it was maxed out to open valve, even with a stronger spring. At 4000 psi that valve started backing up and making 25 fps less than MINE at 3600 fps........When you measure the valve OPENING and TOP HAT OPENINGS, they are SAME SIZE  AS STOCK, so impossible to get much more speed. Yes 4500 psi in tank will force more through but the stock dimensions of OPENINGS, are limiting factor.......

Then got notice that problem  with valve for safety and would  replace or exchange.....I never sent it back as at time had 2 stock valves making MORE POWER at lower psi, so wasted over $300 with shipping ....

Now this completely opened up valve, and stronger steels makes REAL POWER at max pressures but the real beauty is at reasonable pressures, 3500 psi makes 750 fpe at benchrest target shooting......And send 280 gr-315 gr with good speed at 3000 psi and conserve some air....At 3500 psi and big bullets it has the horsepower to push and makes 50% more power than AIRFORCE sold it at....At MAX PRESSURES, we made 80% MORE than stock FPE and that is HUGE.

Doug  knows how to get it done and is still researching and doing R&D.......... So congrats to Doug for taking on this endeavor......
