This one run alone using some guesses had to be over $10,000 (Average $230 x 46 sold).

I can't believe Ebay just absorbs that? (not that they can't afford to, but it seems like bad business practice!)

I agree, I was finally able to request they step in on my behalf.  I guess I'll see how long it takes before I see a refund...  eBay assured me I would get refunded, but this guy seems to be long gone!

Me too. Just requested they step in this morning. I am positive we'll get our money back, it's just a matter of when now. I've pretty much decided I'm just going to order one from a legit seller now. I've already spent $228.... throwing another ~$100 at it to get one from a seller that ships from the US is worth it at this point for me. I'm sick of hunting for the "deal" and if I don't buy it now, I'll spend the next 6 months "hunting".... LOL.

I agree.  I also seem to be at a dead end trying to figure out what connector I need to allow my local Fire Station to fill my 90ci tank.  The Fire Chief had no clue, but what I have won't work.  The closest and most convenient dive shop is not convenient and they want $10 a fill!  With only 7 fills to my Marauder, I can pretty much empty that tank in 2-3 days worth of shooting, so after 30 fills, I may have just bought a compressor! 

It's just sad you can't find a decent deal from a reputable seller.  On Alibaba you can buy these in lots of 16 - 20 for around $160 each (larger lots are even cheaper), so getting one for around $250-$275 should not be that hard, the seller is still making a small profit even after shipping!

They still want to hit ya for 150 per unit shipping.
You have to put it in context, you can spend 250 on a hand pump. Once you use one, for 325 my body says it's a great price.

Heard back from Ebay.... Have to wait 10 days to give the item a chance to be delivered.... Doesn't matter that the seller skipped town, doesn't matter that they magically stuffed 48 lbs into a 4 lb limit shipping service.....

I'm guessing Ebay's policies must be pretty loose on this if some have almost instantly received refunds and others have to wait until whatever they sent via slow packet actually gets here?

Heard back from Ebay.... Have to wait 10 days to give the item a chance to be delivered.... Doesn't matter that the seller skipped town, doesn't matter that they magically stuffed 48 lbs into a 4 lb limit shipping service.....

I know it's hard but we gotta understand that these scams go both ways. Lots of buyers scamming legit sellers to. EBay's policies are geared towards both scenarios.

Yup, EBay also asked me to wait until 10 days to see what shows up. I tried explaining about the scam, they didn't seem to concerned. They do an estimated $181 million a day, this is barely a blip on the radar.

I'm pretty sure I'm the first to start the returns process with eBay.  I recieved a tracking number that I thought was a fake.  After filing the claim, I had a refund within 1:30!

But surprisingly this past week, there has been some movement on the package. And then again today,  soemthing has arrived to usps custom sort in Chicago!

Who knows what it is!  It shows to be delivered on Thursday!

Well,  it's out of customs and now in Winsconin.

Anyone wants to bet on what maybe arriving?

1) 2kg box of Chinese pot metal 5 to 1
2) printed pics of the pump 10 to 1
3) random pieces from a disassemble pump 20 to 1
4) ricin laced box since I disrupted their plans.  49 x $200 = $10k. 10000 to 1
5) an actual fully functional pump. 1000 to 1
6) nothing 50 to 1

Paul, try tracking it via the usps site. Mine says it's still in China on the EBay link too, but that's not the case. I've noticed lately the EBay tracking links are garbage and way behind, never used to be like this.

I'm tracking it on 4 different websites, to include USPS and China EMS site and they all show it's still sitting in China at the carrier.  Yet, eBay insists I wait till something is delivered!  I may call again tomorrow and see if I can escalate it to a supervisor who can make a decision it's pretty clear to me I'm not getting a compressor!
