Did you file the complaint with eBay or PayPal never had to file a complaint before?

Also, if you did file a complaint, what did you tell them?  I fear they won't take any action until the item is received and it's not as described.  Or, did you just request a refund directly from the seller?

I choose the option didn't receive item.  and laid put three point why I wanted a refund.  I even called him out in the dispute stating that I think this auction is fraud.  I said that he sent a fake tracking number  as a delay tactic, to make me think the item actually shipped.  So that I would wait longer to file a dispute.  I thought they would at least fight it.  but nope. 1:30hrs later they refunded my money.

Negative feedback left.  I'm mac4life on Ebay.

I filed a complaint last night, same reasons.  This morning the compressor is no longer showing under my purchase history on eBay, but I have not seen a refund.  I'll be calling eBay today to see what's going on with this guy. 

I saw your negative feedback.  Since my purchase is gone, I'm not sure if I will be able to leave feedback or not.  I was going to wait until after I spoke with eBay.

Mine also said small packets, which I pointed not that his eBay listing said items over 2KG would ship FedEx and told him I would be filing a complaint with eBay. Maybe I should have used the F word (fraud)!  Ebay really needs to do a better job of screening these scammers!

I haven't done anything yet. I'm a little nervous if I file a INR claim with ebay than he shows proof something was delivered even if it's obviously not a compressor that I won't be able to file a INAD claim. Obviously I'm not getting a compressor, if I knew he'd refund my money immediately than I suppose I would file, but I know my luck too well. 

Edit: chenglong9842 no longer has any items for sale.... this is the scam, they flush the account as soon as negative reviews start rolling in. I'm willing to bet lampseller is his new account....

I don't see a way to file a claim on ebay though? It has a tracking number so I can't say item not received, and I can't file an item not as described since I haven't received anything yet and doing this simply brings up the "start a return" window....?

It's the seller's responsibility to refund full purchase price and prove the item was as described.  This has a direct impact on the seller and his ability to remain a seller on eBay. 

I have written this off as far as actually receiving a compressor.  I have filed a complaint for an "Item not as Described" due to the shipping information not being in-line with the item that should have been shipped. I.e. Small packets through ePacket as opposed to a large box through FedEx?UPS/DHL, etc.  I have also left negative feedback identifying the seller as a fraud.  As far as I'm concerned, it's on the seller to prove me wrong at this point.  If he does, I will revise my feedback and close the despite, but I have a strong suspicion I'm not wrong!

Yes, in the comments state: The Seller's listing stated items over 2KG would ship FedEx/UPS/DHL and the shipping confirmation shows "small packets" sent via ePacket.  It's pretty clear the seller did not send us compressors as described in his listing.

Just got off the phone with ebay. There going to watch the seller for fraud. So they at leased know about it now. I told them something was shipped but states small package and this isn't a small package @ 45lbs.

I think most of us expected no other outcome, just couldn't figure out the con until recently. LOL

I wonder if the guy's account got hacked, or maybe he has a drug or gambling problem that turned him to fraud. His prior feedback was good. I had one of my eBay for sale listings hacked a few years ago, had to talk to the buyer by phone and send him a pix of the item (Chevy 383 stroker motor) with the current local newspaper sitting on it. The hacker wasn't able to do the same and the sale finally went through OK. eBay was little help in tracking down the hacker.

  I not worried about getting refund paypal will take care of that just takes 10 days.i did however order same unit from amazon and it may be here tomorrow...

For those that find the claim process in eBay confusing as I believe it is on purpose to keep buyers from opening disputes easily I have written their phone number down to call them and speak to a live person since its much easier to explain the situation over a phone than by messages.
