Received the barrel and support today.
I'll install it tommorow.

So, how's the project progressing? Curious minds want to know!

Yes, I do understand that some of you will want to know how this is progressing, sorry for the Delay.
The new barrel seems to be the same length as the original, but the original has the front site ramp, so it sticks out about 1/4 inch longer. It looks like a drop in fit.
The breech slide isn't quite pulling the hammer back far enough to lock. The hammer spring is crammed in pretty tight, and the cap that holds the hammer spring is not wonderful.
I will give an update as soon as I can get past these obstacles.

This hobby is full of interesting detours.
Looking forward to hearing how you work around them.

Ok, now I can see that the reason it was very difficult to cock the hammer. The pump tube has two holes to anchor the tube to the stock and, they are fine, but they tried to use the same holes to hold the hammer spring and guide. This made the spring squiggly like a snake. It was so bad that the spring would hang on the guide. I found a nylon insert 5/8 diameter by 1/2 long with a 1/4 inch hole through it. I will use a 3/16 stainless steel screw 2.5 inches long as the spring guide. I will need to drill four small holes for the screws to anchor the spring cap to the tube. Then the new rifled barrel will drop in.

I have a thread somewhere around here where I went through the same steps... have since done it 3 more times, and each time I am more and more impressed with what the rifled barrel will do once set up with the plastic-fantastic 760.
The most recent "build" is a 15-yard single-hole pumper (with RWS wadcutters) for the paltry sum of $14- cost of the barrel plus shipping since the gun was a give-a-way find from a neighbor.
My favorite pellet for use in these barrels in the RWS Meisterkugeln wadcutter, but I have tight groups with JSB Domes (no surprise) and Crosman 7.4 grained point (huge surprise!) at 20 yards, getting 1/2 groups at 20 yards on 8 pumps with open sights.
The 1377 is known for being an accurate little pumper, but the ease of dropping in a barrel that works with ZERO mods makes the MK-177 barrel a sure thing.
Of course, watcha need next is a longer-barrelled 1377 with the 1399 carbine stock. I have a 24" barrel on my 1377 and it's a nifty little but LONG rifle- I'll probably cut it down this summer to something a little more compact. Either way you look at it, Crosman Lego is a ton of fun!

I finally finished the resto on my 760 variant 1 Powermaster 7:10 last evening. Video is uploading now, but here's a lil taste.

I have to get the 760-D done, then change to the XP-tuned valve in the 160 Pellgun. Then clean up and check the 760 Pumpmaster variant 7 coming in by next Wednesday. Then chrono test all of them for 2 different videos. with like 8 different pellets in two calibers.

Whew! You are gonna be busy.
I only have 3 kinds of 177.
I will not be able to test all combinations.
Only 250 miles until I get to the ranch.
