Condor question

Doing a search on this forum on Condors I fine more in the classifieds than conversation threads is there a reason for this?

I just searched the word "Condor" from the root of the forum and only got 30 hits...

I only wonder how people like them, accuracy vs other companies etc and found very little on the forum. As an American company I am wondering how they fair.

Well both my Talon SS in .22 and my condor SS in .25 will hit beer CAPS at 35 yards all day long. The Condor with a 31 grain pellet will take out tree rats at 75 yards no problem.

I love the Condor so much I got 3 of them   I am pretty sure there are more than 30 threads on the Condor here.  Some people also call their upgraded Talon with Condor parts: "Talandor".  There should be a few of those as well, but you won't find as many threads as other PCP's for the simple fact that the majority of the shooters spend their $ on entry level PCP's in the $200-$300 range, or for multi-shot PCP's in the $450-$700 range over more expensive or similarly priced single-shot PCP's like the Condor.

It's just the way it is.  The Condor may be more powerful, but for $200 and 20 FPE less, most people opt for the multi-shot Marauder.  Having said that, there are a couple of well established dedicated Air Force forums with thousands of threads.  Most Talon/Condor owners visit those forums for advice and info on upgrade parts and mods.

Almost forgot - my Condors are tack drivers at any power level, and 1 of them goes up to 90fpe.

I used to love my blue .22 Condor Bounty Hunter . I added a.25 cal barrel and a TT quick change top hat. Everything else is stock. And now I love it even more with the 33 grain MK II JSB. The strings below are from power 6 2500 psi fill.
60FPS is very doable but I have to wear hearing protection and the felt increase in recoil is obvious. I thought of adding a regulator but that would add $200+. By then it will be a $735 gun + $200 regulator + $200 Hawke scope.. That will be closed to the price of an FX Streamline. So I will not be regulating this gun.

If you hunt or do a lot of pest control go for it.

If you are looking for a hunter, look no further.  If your a good shot and the rifle is accurate, you only really need one.  It all depends on what your goal is, are you looking for a paper punch and don't mind a butterfly flying faster than your pellet? If that is the case look else where cause you won't find it in a Condor.  Now if your looking for a 150fpe 1000fps rifle that you can place between the ears of a varmint at 125yds and still give'um a dirt nap, the Condor can be that rifle for you.

The up-side is you can mod it fairly easily but the downside is it cost money to do it. The most common mods are custom barrels in .257 or .308 along with matching hammers and valves. High Pressure air tanks that can handle 4500 psi, heavy springs to open up the valve. Custom shrouds that match up to the long 26" or 32" barrels, custom stocks etc. etc.. 

If that is the gun your looking for then just listen to Doug and do what he suggests.

when comes to pb hunting I am a single shot fan, Ruger No.1, H&R, TC Contender. Of course used to hunt with springers . The mag thing is just easier loading tiny pellets. I use pellet pens, but that does not look like it will work with the Condor/Talon. So loading and the futuristic look are the only questions in my mind.

    One suggestion, get a Tx Tophat from Edwin Bumpass ( Airguns of Tx ) you can tune her to your liking and pellet of choice. I like her with no restrictor to shoot slugs 51gr from Nielsen Ammo 960fps
Add medium restrictor turn power down to shoot 34gr JSB 910fps. With a chrony you can find the best FPS with each ammo. Also the Tx Tophat will help with a much higher shot count. I love mine for hunting predators.

I talked to him and he said he just couldn't get the accuracy dialed in. It was his first attempt to PCP and he thinks he bit off more than he can chew.
