How many pumps in a Crossman 1322 ????

Recently purchased a 1322 to replace an old 2250 I used as a pistol for indoor target practice.
Replaced the breech with the steel breech and did a little tuning on the trigger (polished & lightened spring), but that's about it (so far).
I've been using 5-6 pumps for shooting into the Crossman pellet trap, but was wondering how many pumps I could get by with for maximum power when shooting outdoors. I've watched videos where they were shooting through a chrony and it looked like 12 pumps in a stock pistol was getting a fair increase in velocity (460 to 500fps) without damaging the pistol.
I may in the future spend more time & $$$ in mods, but for right now I just want to shoot it until I get it broken in, but may do some pest control with it.

I think crosman recommends 10 pumps max, but some are pumping up to 15 or more.  I just use 10 pumps.  Like you most of my shooting is done at 6 pumps.

Your altitude might come into play.  If you were in Denver you might be able to use 20 pumps.

The stock Crosman cup-type pump is limited as to its capability and becomes less and less effective as pump count goes up.   Altitude does affect pressure buildup also as air density decreases.

The consensus in the comments was that this was an above average 1322, but the data may still be useful to you.

 I pump 10 times, maybe 11 or 12 if my count is off

On my 1377, I adjust pumps for longer range, allows me to use the same scope hold by adjusting the power.

20 yards 7 pumps.
30 yards 8 pumps.
40 yards 10 pumps. I never exceed 10 pumps.

Never thought of that possibility!
I have a scope ordered for the pistol and will give that a try when I get it set up with better optics.
