Mine got left cocked for weeks on end , when I borrowed it to my mother. Settled it in nice, not that is the prefered method of tunning , I got lucky , so far 

Maybe that's why I got my spring compressed, I have left it cocked for long periods at a time more often than I can count.

I had an accidental dry-fire today ( pellet fell out as I closed the barrel ) and then the gun started grinding on the cocking-cycle. :/  Kind of sad because right before that I sighted it in and shot a penny-sized group at 20 yards.  Figures as soon as I start catching up to Hoosier Dadddy I'd break it

Have you had a chance to try your .22 barrel?

That sounds great, but I have to ask, are the internals still stock from buying it,or did you do a lube tune or anything? Perhaps I worry too much.
 Certainly sounds like it's shooting good!
 By the way what are you running for a scope? Looks great with that paint.
 

Haven't done a thing internally, or to the trigger. It was my first springer and I didn't want to open it up for fear I'd break it. As for now I don't see a need.
 The scope is a Simmons 22Mag 3-9x/32mm A/O

Ouch! Hope it turns out okay for you.

Bought a TF89 at a pawn shop a few years ago and it shot ok but kick hard as a mule. Cocked it, put it in a closet and forgot about it. Four months later took it out. It didn't loose one FPS and still kicked like a mule and still does.

Ouch! Hope it turns out okay for you.

Gonna need sandpaper, JB Weld and elbow grease! But it should be fixable.

I think mine started losing power and sounding different at about 4-5k shots and that's when I did the lube-tune.

They have a really strange sound to them once they quit diseling. I guess it's the spring twang, sounds like an as asthmatic duck. I may try a spring sleeve.

Yep that sounds about right lol  I hate that sound!

But overall they're pretty nice guns. I'm wondering if their new "Dual" that has a .177/.22 over/under configuration is based on the same platform.

I don't think so... they are kinda weird.
One version shoots one or the other "selective", while the other (more common) shoots BOTH at once.
Gotta do your home work on that one before you buy...

Keep an eye on the set screw that holds the barrel in. It likes to back out even with Loctite. I found Teflon tape to work a bit better.

I just solved my problem with the RWS  Super Domes going in hard(with a snap).
 Under close inspection, I found there was hardly any chamfer around that chamber. More of a burr.
 Dug around and found a small center drill (#3) and turned it back and forth just using my fingers.
 Kept trying a Super Dome pellet until it went in the way I wanted.

Now I need a chance to try them out again!

I always open/polish the pellet lead in when doing a home tune on a boinger.

Now that you and Bill mention it, I have some sanding cones and an arbor. I can think of a couple I could dress up a little

I do them just like a crown...Maybe not so deep. Seen Mike Mellick do it on his full tune.

No chance to try her out yet.... getting a new place to live nailed down. Lots to do!
