Crosman 2240 steel breech

I need part number help. Can anyone tell me the difference between Crosman 2300-008 and AS2250-A013  both are described as a long steel breech. I have searched for the answer every where I could think of.

P/n 2300-008 is now AS2250-025 in the latest EVP, has front screw. 
P/n AS2250-A013 has rear screw.

If you order at Pyramyd you don't need the part number, can also get the LPA rear sight at Pyramyd

I believe you are correct about the screw locations on the AS2250-AO13 and the AS2250-025.  Did 2300-008 have the rear screw location before the number change. Is 2300-008 no longer a good number.  I am trying to make sense out of my old notes and correct or update the numbers.

I cannot say if -008 is still a good number.

I don't have one in front of me but going by the EVP, the hole was in the front on -008, same as -025. Don't know why the number was changed.

I did some more research. It looks like crosman did not change the EVP drawings to show the new rear screw location. Just a different part number for the rear screw breech. We know the newer pistols have the rear screw location. I can't find a drawing that actually shows the rear screw location.

one should also note there are a few different types of crosman breeches. some crosman breeches have the perpendicular cut dovetail for the lpa mim sight, some don't. i have also seen cutouts for the original plastic rear sight, but i'm not sure that those are crosman breeches, i don't know. maybe after market breeches.

just be sure before you buy. contacting crosman, or the particular vendor to verify what exactly you're getting.

lol Yeah, that's a fairly common thing w/them- there are several drawings I've seen that weren't updated.
