The inline dryer setup arrived from MRodAir today along with  Plinkster and 3 mags.
I wasn't able to cancel the gold one from Ali Express in time so it looks like I'll have options.
We'll get this thing installed this evening after work and see what we got...
Yeah right... we'll be scoping Betty Lou's Plinkster and sighting it in before I get anywhere near the compressor room.

Just saw this thread and glad you were able to put that bullpup cash to good use. I am still looking at compressors since my super deal Chinese compressor never made it so my money was refunded from ebay. I have a shoebox now that does the job as long as you are in no hurry and devote a full day to filling tanks. I am ready for something faster so I can shoot more and fill less. I am watching how this Airmax compressor you have works out for you in the long term.

From what I've seen so far this thing is just what the Doc. ordered. I understand some folks had issues with the first go round but I wasn't there. I can only relate to what I have. And if not for the grace of the GTA I wouldn't have this. I've only filled a couple guns and a couple tanks so far because I didn't want to put moisture in either. But this evening it's game on. I'm going to take a little while to master it and then I'll bring all my wit, wisdom and wizardry back to this thread. That should be good for a laugh. Shouldn't take to long to post either.

Just saw this thread and glad you were able to put that bullpup cash to good use. I have a shoebox now that does the job as long as you are in no hurry and devote a full day to filling tanks. I am ready for something faster so I can shoot more and fill less. I am watching how this Airmax compressor you have works out for you in the long term.

You could also still get the super-deal lost compressor for cheap.  Cheaper than what most others paid including myself @ $377.  They're still popping up for like $265 shipped.

Plumbed in the inline and cable tied it to an upright on the compressor frame. Did a little modding on my water tank. I fixed the return hose so it returns water to the top of the 5gal. bucket. (before it sank about halfway down in the water) Last time I filled a 3300 psi tank the temp rose to 69 ^ c. IIRC...
I started out by filling the Varmint from 1900 to 3000. Even charging the dryer and hose it took less that 20 seconds to fill the gun. Thank the airgun Gods for the auto shut off. THIS THING IS FAST !!! I hit the bleed and virtually no moisture.
I had been using the 80cf tanks to shoot the SRod and AMV and it was probably down to 3000 psi. I set the auto shut of to 3400 and pushed play. Took maybe 9 or 10 minutes and it shut off. Temp went to 49c. Bled the bleeder and got a little spray. The 100cf tank was just under 3000.... we can't have that... we got a compressor. Connected the hose and again, pushed play. Just under 15 minutes and the auto shut of did it's job. The temp rose to 58.7c. SWEET !! the hose adjustment worked. Turned the bleed and got a short, quick mist. I checked the upper tampon that I located above the inline dryer and it was bone dry. SUCCESS !! I'm a self sufficient tank fillin machine.

Yep I am watching the prices on ebay right now to see just how low they will go down. I was just so hoping that 69 buck compressor was for real but the stars were not aligned for me. I have a shoebox so not in a big rush for the Chinese compressor. The ones that were 268.95 are sold out now but hoping they will restock still at that price.

Bill I think you have a winner with that compressor by the sounds of it so far, I'd love to have one myself but the dive shop is just too close and handy for me right now (I also like shooting the bull with Terry the owner), we'll see in a couple years when my tanks get dated because even used at a hundred bucks a piece they ain't cheap and both of them really look to be in really good shape yet for much more use.

Oh SHOOT Mike!!  It didn't even dawn on me that was the "super deal" compressor. I forgot all about that. Glad you got your money back. I'd be careful on the $268 one as well. Some guys are getting a shiny new coin for their money. I hope they all get their money back as well. Definitely go through paypal and/or ebay for one of those.
I gotta give credit to Mike at MRodAir for running this compressor through it's paces before shipping it out. It has a scratch here and a ding there that occurred during the boat ride but it functions (so far) flawlessly. We are way into the "break in" stage and I'm going to change the case oil this just to have a look. I'm also going to move my second (smaller) tampon dryer to the whip between the tanks and the guns. I want to be able to check what comes out of the tanks and into the guns.
I do have a question for some of the experienced compressor owners...
I have the "gold" dryer coming because I wasn't able to cancel in time. Would there be any benefit or downside to putting this on the low side of the compressor? Would it restrict airflow into it?

Oh, almost forgot... I have a white board (dry erase) that I'm going to hang above the unit to keep track of fill times, temps and oil/filter changes.

I could be wrong but with the SPEED of these compressors, I think adding the gold filter will impede airflow.  Sure, my Hill Pump Mk4 comes with one, but you see how slow pumping by hand goes.  My small compressor is waaaaaaay faster and I wouldn't put anything on the intake side.  You could always try though.

I didn't even think of using the small pre-filter on the fill whip when filling the gun.  It may or may not help as you ought to already have dry air going into the scba or scuba tank, but such is not always the case.  The other thing is you'll use more from your scba/scuba each time you fill due to the volume of the filter.  I use that pre-filter before my gold filter to catch the oil and water blow-by so my gold filter doesn't have as much to filter out.

I don't see the Auto shut off style gauge. That is a HUGE upgrade. Sorry about the pictures. I'm a better shot with a gun.... I promise.
