My new Limited Pistol Project

Got my new pistol scope on,

Hawke airmax 3-12x50 with the sunshade. I can officially say it cost more than the pistol, but it's a little nicer than the leapers tracks better, clearer glass etc.

Bought a new Weaver/ picatinny rail that will be here soon as well as an offset one piece mount. Should be here and installed in a few weeks.

For now I'm focusing on my HW97, and getting Jessica's new scope dialed in. Also been making FT winders like crazy! They have been modified to fit a larger spool for faster winding.

When I get the new accessories mounted I'll post some more!

I'm in the process of making a homemade buttstock for it, so the Weaver would make for a quick scope change if I let someone use it or want to use it for WFTF.

The main reason for the new rail is because I will have quite more scope support, if you look right now I'm only using the front portion of the dovetail, and am only supporting that 27.5oz scope with a bkl double strap.

The new mounts will keep the eye relief similar, but bring it back just a tiny bit. It will also bring my scope a little higher to the point where my 10 y clicks are the same as my 55 y clicks!

Luckily I can shoot this little guy just as good as my beeman, so I have the back up ready to go if they change the rules.

Crosman 14.6" LW barrel, shoots 10.34 jsb at 710 for 30 shots. Not a bad little pistol for a couple hundred bucks.

My factory barreled home tuned airmax .177 group's sub 1" at 35 yards. But with a 9" barrel I can only comfortably get 10.5 fpe out of it for 25 shots. I shot that one at Nevade State (Battle Mountain) for my second FT match and placed alright.

I have way too much fun with these things. My new Umarex Gauntlet will be here Friday, I'll probably bring it to the Sac Valley Match on Sunday to have people check it out. I ordered the dang thing in April and am now just getting it.

Put a new barrel on the gun! Who would have thought this would be so complicated.

It's not like turning a barrel was complicated enough... The barrel and the tank were now touching. So I tried to take off my regulator/tank and it got stuck. Removing it from the gun over and over to tune while under pressure may have not been the smartest thing.... You live and you learn. Ultimately I had to shim the front of the breech to achieve clearance.


Received a few barrels in the mail about a month ago and have had dreams of putting one in my favorite FT pistol. So I spent a morning turning it down, making the O-ring grooves, polishing the leade and making the transfer port. I think it turned out pretty good!

Lol I don't have time to make them pretty, I only have time to make them shoot well! I haven't developed the Gene for making pretty guns yet. Once I get it back together I might stain the wood.
