Umarex Gauntlet

Pre ordered one of these in .22 and am hearing rumblings that these guns won't be available until October of this year.  Has anyone heard anything about the release date?  I keep hearing they're fixing some other little bug before production...

Delivery went from May to July to August and now October.  Ain't allowed bad lingo on this site, but if I were @%%&**()@@#!   i have one pre-ordered too and been to waitin' a long time.

What makes it worse is that no one can come up with an answer as to what the delay really is.  There is speculation, but nothing in stone.

I am not giving up, it is a test of endurance and patience.

What my little mind is saying is that they have quite a few test ponies out in the field - I've seen them on quite a few different youtube channels, etc.  I think these field mules are breaking down in a variety of ways and they're trying to correct these issues pre production.  At least that's my hope.  The more delays, the more I start to doubt the reality of a sub $300, regged and shrouded gun...

You lay down money to order a gun that's not really in production yet?  You HOPE they work out the bugs before they ship?  That's taking quite a leap of faith.

I view the early buyers as the beta testers.  You'll get to tell the company about the flaws.  They'll fix your problems under warranty hopefully giving you a good gun for the next go 'round.  In the meantime they know what will probably go wrong and can then integrate the fix into the production models.

You may like having the newest gun on the block.  I'm a bit more conservative and prefer to let somebody else help the vendor work out the problems.  No, I didn't purchase an injected Harley the first year they were in production, either.  It's a good thing I didn't.

I only paid $256 shipped to my house.  If there are bugs in it, I know great people who would be able to suggest or in fact fix it.  I don't have the worry you may have about having a first production run gun.    Besides, being the first to own a new airgun on MY block isn't anything to brag about.  If it just performs as promised, I will have made a good purchase.

And yet the PP700 pistol offers exactly that- for under $200 prior to shipping (from Krale).  For the money (and I've been saying this for months) nothing offers what the SPA PP700 can: regulated, adjustable trigger, very accurate, adjustable hammer spring tension, and adjustable transfer port.

The Gauntlet is clearly still in F&D phase: fix and develop.

Ditto on the cost for me too and for that amount, I am willing to accept a degree of chance and I WILL be the first on my block to own a new airgun only because no one else has airguns.   

I sent an e-mail to Umerex asking about the delay, but do not expect a response.

I think people gave up on the Umarex Hammer a long time ago, that'll be one we'll probably never see.

I couldn't wait, bought a Hatsan AT44S 10 QE in .25 from Field Supply for 299.99. If and when the gauntlet comes out I will have my brother get one for me. He gets a discount through Ruger where he works.

Got setup for a blind date with a girl named Gauntlet, she was late, no show, when I noticed a girl named HW110 waltz by. and the rest is history . got a little BLUE elec pump that keeps her shooting all I want. I ordered through SG, the projected ship date is December 1st.  After discounts, I only paid $206 and some change, so yes, I'm willing to keep my pre-order and wait it out!
