Walther LGV arrived today

Hi guys,

I've been shooting a LGV Competition Ultra in .177 sience 2013.
After installing the genuine WALTHER tuning trigger blade (the one with the two grub screws for stage 1 & 2)and doing some basic trigger work (clean, polish sears, relube, lighter trigger load spring) the gun bedded in perfectly.
It's by far my most accurate break-barrel and a joy to shoot.


Couple of weeks ago a got a nearly new LGV Challenger in .177 too. That's the one with the black plastic stock. Sorry - no pics of the gun yet.
I did the same trigger tune like stated above.
Gun is bedding in now and results are quite promissing.

35 yards, 10 shots AA 7.87's. No doubt gun can do better. Don't know if I can.

Great report, and that's not the first time I have heard best shooter out of the box for the LGV/LGU.

Joe don't use a hosting site, just upload your pictures to GTA. I resize my pictures to 800x600 if memory servers, with office 2010 then upload them from my computer to GTA.

Resizing is what I don't know how to do, will research that.

If you're taking the pics with your phone, then you should be able to size them down pretty easily. What I do is email them to myself (home computer), and decrease the size prior to sending. That way I don't have to bother with resizing on the computer.

I have been using Imgur and it resizes them for me, Imgur is much easier and faster than PB was.
Will try your suggestion, take all my pics with my phone.

Not yet. All I had was a sampler pack, and ran out.
Will have to pick up a tin. At least I can buy them locally.

I absolutely LOVE my stock LGV.  It shoots nicer than my tuned Prosport.  It's probably my favorite rifle.

My LGV Master Pro loves either JSB 8.44 or RWS Super Domes! I tend to shoot the JSB's over the SD's both are very accurate,

I have been posting much. New hobby has kept me busy.  I came here to see what others think about their Walther's. I haven't had the urge to buy another air gun since I got the Walther LGV. I don't shoot as much and every time I pick it up it's still sighted in just like I left it and no fuss. My HW97K hasn't been shot in a year now. I grab either the Walther LGV or LGU if I want to sling .22 pellets. I totally  stopped chasing power in springers. I could sell of all the rest of my springers and never look back. I did do the two stage trigger in the LGU and the Roman trigger on the LGV. That Rowan trigger is sweet. This cooling weather is making me want to shoot more often.

Kinda surprised how few posts there are on the Walthers.

I second that the Walther is all one needs as a hobby and for out of the box attainable groupings-accuracy.  The gun out performs my talent, and makes me look like an expert at the local range. 

Mine happens to be the LGU in .177.  And like your last comment, it is a wonder these air rifles do not get more treads and posts here on Gateway.

Mine is still as sent from the factory - except for its lubing.  When unboxed I disassembled, wiped off the factory grease job, and did my own throughly use of Moly70 appropriately to make sure she was ready for many target practicing-pellets down range. 

I know the trigger kit and polishing the trigger assembly will only help, but straight as be - with factory spring assembly - she makes accuracy easy. 

I want to thank justa on starting this tread and sharing his experiences and photos.  A nice thread for others to read and learn about the owning a Walther.
