I had my Beeman out and was shooting in the pellet trap and it was hitting high. I started tinkering with the scope trying to zero in and its really ticking me off as the dials say left right up down and so forth but when i turn it to go right the POI goes down when i turn the dial to go up the POI shifts to the left. What am i doing wrong as i do not feel like wasting 100 pellets trying to figure it out. Also at what height should the target be as opposed to the height of the gun. If someone could help me understand and zero in my scope it would be very much appreciated.

If your rifle is hitting high, then on the turrets (the little knobs on the top and side) the one that says up and down, turn it in the direction which says will make it go down. try to or 3 clicks first, and adjust as needed. should take no more than 10 shots!! make sure you keep the crosshair steady and squeeze the trigger slowly! good luck!!

is it possible you have the scope on wrong?.....if the up down knobs move you poi...left or right...you have the scope on wrong.....with the scope mounted and the end of the barrel facing away from you...like your shooting it....the knob for up and down should be on top.....the left to right knob should be on your right side......

It wasn't on backwards as it has Beeman in huge letters on the top and i double checked wt Mike said and that was correct but for some reason when i turn the dials it acts funny so it took like 15-20 clicks both sides at 25ft for it to come to a reasonable POI vs POA but thanks for your help guys sounds like its time to buy another scope
