You know For what it sounds like your looking to do with your first pcp I really think the gamo urban is worth a look Yes I'm a little biased on the suggestion because I own one (and love it) however you stated you were looking for a gun you don't have to tinker with and just shoot out of the box and the gamo would give you Exactly that It's pretty light but very solidly built very accurate quiet with the stock moderator so no ldc to buy And at over 20 fpe should handle small game hunting without a hitch mine does awesome !! I feel like it would give you most of what u said u we're looking for and at the $269 wm price it would leave lots of room in your budget for scope hand pump or tank and plenty of ammo pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed with the urban It would be a take it out of the box mount a scope clean the barrel fill and go shooting pcp without any tinkering to be done no it isn't a daystate or brocock quality rifle however it is in my opinion a great quality entry level pcp rifle and a great value in the pcp arena Welcome to the darkside 👍🏻👍🏻Just my opinion 😎Gamoshooter
You'll find plenty of very good rifles very well within your price range. Not sure exactly what you are looking for but a .22 Nova would fit the bill based on what your looking for quite well. Every one that has one seems to love them. Mrod and Hatsan for a first PCP are common recommendations among the forums with the general consensus that Hatsans are a bit more capable out of the box in terms of FPE.I would say, don't make the same mistake I did and buy lower than your expectations first. You'll blow a lot of money getting what you want in the process. Fun journey but pricey.
Sumatra 2500 Carbine I can see in my future as well
Quote from: keithd on August 18, 2017, 04:01:48 PMSumatra 2500 Carbine I can see in my future as wellThat is always a great choice, now that you have your basic PCPs The Sumatra would cover the Power, Mean hunter, super PCP niche
Thread is going strong I see! Lol. Well I still feel the marauder .25 cal is the best bang for your buck overall, but that is a biased opinion as its one of the only few pcp's I've personally handled. The sumatra's seem great, hatsan is great, SPA has a few great options, but all that said they aren't american made rifles which I personally am not fond of. I prefer to stimulate the american economy in any way shape or form and would rather see my currency going back into our economy opposed to another countries economy, even if my few dollars are drops of water when compared to an ocean...Do I buy things from other countries? Absolutely...but ONLY when they are UNAVAILABLE in our country and the means to obtain them in our country are either unreasonable or unfathomable. I will spend the extra few dollars to keep all the currency I spent in our economy opposed to another countries...-Matt

Not everyday that you can get a $500 air gun for a tad over $300.. Fast, powerful and accurate - love the side lever action too.. 28 fpe from a .177 - yep, works for me..
