Hatsan 1000X Vortex .25 chrony numbers

The rifle was bought with other plans in mind for the gas ram and wood stock but I also needed to make sure the gas ram was working the way it should be (it is) and for anyone considering buying one, they could read this and have a fairly good idea of what to expect.
I grabbed the following 6 tins of pellets and the chrony and after mindlessly shooting about 10 of each to get things settled in a bit, started over the chrony:
-Benjamin Dome 27.8gr: Average 540, high 548, low 533, ES 15, SD 4, FPE 18
-H&N FTT 19.91gr: Average 621, high 638, low 607, ES 31, SD 9, FPE 17.05
-JSB King 25.39gr: Average 560, high 573, low, 549, ES 24, SD 7, FPE 17.68
-Predator Polymag 26gr: Average 578, high 587, low 572, ES 15, SD 4, FPE 19.29
-H&N Crow Magnum 26.23gr: Average 561, high 571, low 544, ES 27, SD 8, FPE 18.33
-Hatsan Vortex 19.91gr: Average 629, high 638, low, 619, ES 19, SD 7, FPE 17.5

The Hatsan's were a bit of a surprise. They're supposed to be just rebranded H&N FTT's but at least over the chrony, they shot a bit faster and with lower numbers in both extreme spread and standard deviation.
For anyone considering buying one, the above numbers should give you a good idea what to expect and considering the fpe numbers (gotten using the calculator at PA), the rifle has the power to be a very good short range pest wrecker. I also say that because the rifle except for minor cosmetic differences is the same rifle as my Hatsan Edge Vortex .25 which gets the same range of numbers and is already a very well proven short range pesting gun out to the 30 or so yards I use it for.
 I have plans for the gas ram and wood stock so mine isn't staying a Vortex piston gun, it's going to end up a spring piston rifle which was the other reason for the baseline numbers. Now I'll be able to compare gas ram vs. spring and see how the numbers stack up and after everything is done, I'll post the numbers.
Now to get through another 60 hour week at work so I can turn it into a springer and a Webley Valuemax .20 caliber into a gas ram....lol

Niiiice....thanks for sharing the numbers! I am eagerly awaiting my spring powered 1000s .25 wearing wood. The wife should bring that and a Striker Edge in .177 home for me on Monday (she's very good to me). Also considering a Vortex Piston for my VMX, but ran into a snag on that one. Found two cracks in the stock...☹️ Maybe the VMX will be a .20 Edge for a while, till I figure out how I'm gonna fix "Ole Greenie."

     When you're done post it up. I've been trying to get the parts together for that conversion but other stuff kept popping up. I still might as I have my old Edge vortex in .25. I just picked up one in better  shape last month from a member here, and am thinnking about  just switching the old one over to my older valuemax. I'll let some one else do it first ha ha and see if it is easy. Good luck on your project.

Already planned to as I've had a couple members ask if and when I got around to it. Hopefully this weekend, get the guts to both rifles swapped (the vmx spring and stuff is going in the 1000X) and get both out shooting to see what happens.
