Businesses have to make a profit to keep their doors open but making Sales promotions and sticking it to you on the shipping is a dirty tactic, but of course it's a computer that's handling your order not a person.... Computer only does what it's told to do.

At least no companies I've worked for do that, ranging from pest control to software.

I use to work at a HVAC distributor and was in charge of UPS shipping of Parts and supplies, the cost of shipping a 5 lbs box of stuff was about $10.00 to ship from Ca to Ark, it had a minimum of 1 pound which was about $3.00.

Last year, I had to return a cell phone to a seller. That small package(less than a pound and in a bubble-lined envelope) cost me over $10(via USPS) before I even added insurance and tracking.

Charges for shipping is one thing, charges for shipping AND HANDLING is another.
When you buy pellets from PA get 3 + 1 free then add Save10ace coupon for 10% off to offset the lowest rate $7.99 shipping cost. You can do the same with AGD but use Sb10off instead for the coupon code.

Zero profit made on shipping... the OP's entire thread. Handling ie: other charges is another story. I work for a software company, we ship some stuff. We make NOTHING , zero, profit off that because we charge shipping only. So yeah, I not only believe it, I live it.

I have been over charged for shipping before, I'm not saying every company does it, but there are a few that do, most owned by companies headquartered in Hong Kong...... I've never had problems with PA or any of the others and I hope it stays that way.
