WGRS-54 and Baker mount

I have a 392 with the Baker dovetail mount...any reason I cant use the wgrs peep with this mount ....rather not take it off..thanks

the only reason I can think of is I'm not sure how close you can get the peep to your eye with that mount. 

if the scope rail extends to the back of the receiver then it would probably work fine.  otherwise, it might put the peep too far forward to work very well at all.  I guess if it gets the peep kind of close but not quite enough, you could always drill out the aperture and see if that works.

If the height over bore works with the front sight and your cheek weld, go for it.

You could easily enlarge the aperture if it is to far from your eye.

THe breech height might be a problem...I just checked and the eye relief will be similar to my 1377 carbine equipped with the 54 peep which is mounted at the very back of the breech...I have plenty of forward room on the baker......thanks for the replies

I have that peep on my 397, my intention is to leave the baker mount on the gun, thats why I want to use the 54....obviously if I remove the baker would go with the original peep...to be honest Im too lazy to remove the 54 thats on my 1300kt to try it out, I dont trust the aluminum threads to hold up to on again/ off again too many times......thanks
