Lloyd.... that is REALLY cool.... I was trying to read the pressure remaining on the gauge and it looks like about 2000 psi after the shot, is that correct?.... How big was the valve/reservoir used in those shots?.... I'm trying to get a handle on the (in)efficiency of those velocities....

I have another video that I am going to put on the Big Bore gate in a week or two.  It will be another garage session and I know that some folks will find it very interesting.

I hadn't planned on doing anything with the disco because all of the ideas  are borrowed from other folks, many of them  on this forum.  I just did them to my gun, and they worked there too!   Thanks to everyone  who has shared so freely !!

This video and the big bore one I've got coming are about 100% new.

Hey Bob,
That valve timing was set up for max power and was disgustingly wasteful.  The video was made 3 years ago and I was still learning ( I still learn something every day!)  The tank was 262 cc, so to totally fill the 24" barrel would drop the tank pressure from 3000 psi to about 2,786 psi (214psi drop).  This was operating pretty much as a dump valve to get those power levels. I could have used 1/3 less air (142 psi drop)and only lost about 7% of the power.
Oh, and the valve was ........BIG.

For the upcoming big bore video I will have power AND efficiency.

The ringing after each shot is from the steel bullet trap. It's welded up out of 1/2" plate and weighs about 300 pounds.

Man those babies sure were getting it. Very nice work. I enjoyed it very much. 2nd pellet 2nd shot man did it get an encrease in vel & energy as well as the lighter wt pellets you were using to test. Again nice job...
