my new disco .22 (titan stock)

pick up a disco from crosman, this gun is pretty loud at 3 am....lol.
so i decided to make air stripper/muzzle brake.
i only fired 3 rounds through her,she came pre-charged with c02.
here's the start sofar, still machining the brake.....gotta bore it out some more, build the cap and cone...ect.
im trying to build the brake and still beable to use the stock fill cap too.
plan on getting another barrel clamp, power adjuster, install a 4-16x40 glass.
maybe make a stock for her aswell.
this will be a slow build.
later on today ill pass her through the chrony and scope her.

Nice "break" one_shot. Don't know if its written in stone or anything but if you are going with air to charge your gun I would bleed off/get rid of the CO2 thats in it now before recharging.

Nice to see you back One-Shot. Bad looking gun. Someday I'll get the wife's approval for another gun. Until then I choose to sleep in the same bed as she does.

thanx guys....glad to be here, but right now i wont be that active, ive got alot going on at the moment.
bleed down the disco, pumped up to 2100 psi on the pump,to reach the full green on the disco.
estimated 200 pumps.after 1200 psi the pump really puts out.
done a quick sight-in on the manual sights at 12 yards.....im very impressed.
2 1 hole groups while sighting in.
will post up proper grouping later.
brake isnt finished, but i tried it anyway, just the hollow chamber and cap severly quietened the gun,so i removed it from the gun after 2 shots....big difference.need to port the brake to make her legal.

why do i have to log in 3-4 times before the forum accepts my login?
this is everytime i login.
i just typed up this very long post a few mins ago,hit post....my login timed out.....my post was lost.
so ill try again, but this time less info incase this one doesnt make it either.
second fill was faster to pump up,42 pumps to reach 1000 psi on the pump, touching the green on the gauge.
59 pumps from 1000 psi to 2200 psi on the pump, full green on the guns gauge.
101 pumps total to fill the gun completly empty to full.
chrony results using 14.3 grain cphp's only.
chrony 8 yards from the muzzle, temp 85 degrees f,nice and sunny,2 mph cross wind.
first 10 shot string
787
803
783 (low)
786
793
790
802
799
801
809 (high) (3/4 full on the green)
this is how i figure out my average.
subtract my low from my high, then divide that number x 2,add that number to my low.....then i get my average.
if im doing this wrong please correct me.
783
-809
------
26 divided by 2 = 13.
783
+ 13
-------
796 average 14.3 grain = 20.1 fpe
second string
825
819
830
834
802
801(low)
845
812 (half way in the green)
847(high)
828
average of 824 with 14.3 grain = 21.5 fpe
3rd string
836 (high)
829
822
818 (1/4 in the green)
809
791
787
772
755
741(low)
788.5 average 14.3 grain = 19.7 fpe
so i have 30 powerful shots, about 55 shots till empty.
the pump is easy to use, even with my sore back...lol.
the trigger on my disco isnt that bad, easy to get used too.
although i like my 2 stage triggers on my other guns.
this gun is a dime 10 shot group at 12 yards with open sights.
id imagine with a good glass you could shrink that down abit.
too bad the breech wasnt taller to allow a nice full shrouded barrel to be installed.
ill post more on this gun later.......let my new love affair begin.

Sounds like you have a great plan. Nice brake. I'm looking forward to all you will do to the gun in the future.

thanx jonny....im looking foward to doing the work aswell.
everything paul capello states about this gun is true, his review accuratly describes the performance.
have to get some new scope mounts to fit the rail,so it will be open sighter for now.
heres a few pics of a few 12 yard 5 shot groups, and the fit of the foster coupling on the gun with the break installed.easy on and off.

Nice shooting. How do you think that muzzle brake will stack up next to a TKO?

tko's work is cheaper,faster production....more precise....lol.
im running a old wore-out $500 harbor freight lathe, tko uses a nice machine to produce them, plus applies a tough finish coat to it.

tko makes great quality items for a low price.....just to clarify,in my previous post....when i stated that tko's were cheaper......i meant cheaper to produce, not cheaper built.
i have 3 hours tied up in building my brake, and its only half way built.

Hahaha, for an old wore out Harbor Freight lathe, you do really nice work. Again, good job. I wish I could do stuff like that. I live vicariously through what others can do.

thanx guys,i love this new gun....my first pcp.
ive added the barrel clamp from my 2260,and my 35 yard groups are down to 1/2 inch,3/4 average.
with a 3-9x40 cp,but everytime i put it down....gotta resight her.
before the extra clamp i was around 1 inch to 1.5 at 35 yards.
i dont know how many times anyone can state how great this starter gun is....lol.
done alittle work on the brake.....actually started over, this one is solid, kinda acts like a muzzle weight.
plus it looks great.later on ill finish the first design,i dont have a mill so slotting the ports will take forever with a drill and file set.
