Valve spring adjuster mod??

Guys
I need some help to accomplish what I want to do, if reasonable and safely.
Here is some info, I want to accomplish, if possible,
I have a brand new OTB QB 79, 22 caliber, scoped with a 4x14x44 mm ( Mueller APT), running Co2 now,
with 88/90 gram cylinders and with HPA/reg in the future, using the smallest bottle to provide, 25-50 shots,
the average shot string runs are,
14.3 gr CPHP pellets
Temp 85* >
Shot over my Magnet V-3 chrono
H= 585 fps
L= 576
A= 579
SD =2.6
Shot over my Oehler 32 chrono
H= 585 fps
L = 568
A= 577
SD = 2.6 .
This QB has not been modded yet, but soon will be.
I want, (if possible) to have the best accuracy (with the correct pellets, after testing), out to 50 yds,
with the highest FPS possible with both fuel types while hunting small game and pesting birds.
I have been haunting several different sites,
and read about a this rear adjustment thingy that controls the power of the valve spring etc,
I can't find the site with this info, IIRR, I believe that Bob posted the info, but not sure etc.
My question is,
Would this valve adjuster thingy, be advisable/help for tuning my QB when using both fuel types,
with what I want to accomplish for both fuel types with the best accuracy and FPS etc ??
I will be running Co2 in the summer, and HPA in the winter times.
I would greatly appreciate any and all info possible, on reaching my goal for this AR.
Thank you,
Don

I'm not familiar with your rifle but on my SPA M-10 the rear cap can be removed to access the hammer spring in just a couple of minutes. I've added and removed shims to that cap to vary hammer spring pressure. Something similar might be possible but again not familiar with your model rifle. Probably not helpful at all but thought I'd throw it out there.

A rear velocity adjuster (RVA) is extremely convenient for tuning any rifle. What it does is allow you to adjust the hammer spring tension. A QB is over-sprung, so to speak, in stock form and will waste CO2 (or air if using a typical paintball bottle with the regulator around 850psi). Making an RVA for a QB is pretty straightforward if you can tap and drill. Pretty sure Bob's post shows how to do it, and I think the one in my signature does as well. With it, you can either reduce or increase hammer spring tension by simply turning a screw which will let you either tune for more shots or more power...within some reasonable limits, of course.
If you want to jump in with both feet, get an SSG or one of the other devices designed to prevent hammer bounce which can help to further improve efficiency. But that may be a bit much for a beginner. I think a simple RVA is a great place to start to get a working understanding of how to tune.
Just a fine point, your post seemed to describe adjusting the valve spring. An RVA does not adjust that and for the most part there is no need to, especially for CO2 or regulated HPA bottle. It can be useful for tuning an unregulated PCP but is not very convenient and is seldom used.

Thanks Guys,
Oldpro,
That link doesn't show the $200 QB Nijna build.
NT
Thanks for that info, I was not really sure what it did or was called etc. LOL
I did not know that there were links in your Sig, reading them now.
I have a complete gun shop, mill/lathe etc, have been building PB since "86" etc.
Is there a reason that the RVA has to be drilled/tapped off center?
I have never had my QB 79 apart yet, coming soon.
Is a SSG required for tuning, or would a RVA be enough for 95% tuning,
to get within the reasonable accomplishments I want to do?
A good solid shooter with accuracy out to 50yds etc.
What would the average fps be, for a 22 cal QB on Co2,
running the middle weight pellets, and the same question for running HPA?
Thank you,
Don
