Wolverine 303 gets a regulator and plenum

I like my Wolverine but not impressed with the shot string for such an expensive gun. The gun could only be filled to about 3400 psi stock or it would get valve lock. I decided to add a regulator but this gun needs a plenum or the power would be severely cut.
This just got installed and I have not done anything other shoot a bit over the chrony to see how it did. Stock, this gun was shooting the 50 grain around 930 fps. After installing the reg and setting to 2590 psi the gun is shooting 900 fps. Because I plan to shoot slugs with this gun I will turn the reg up a little and see if I can get back to the 930 fps range. Right now the shot count is not optimal because of wasting of air but this was not done until very late at night and it was time to stop.
This does move the bottle way forward but with out a scope it still seems to balance well. The reg is the Altaros and the fps were holding around 3 fps. I still need to adjust the hammer strike which is too hard right now and wasting air but easy to fix.

Hey Nick you really do need to paint that thing black or something .
We will put my 303 barrel i your gun it has a .202 transfer port opening
that should be enough to make your 303 come alive .

I can try alumablack and see if it sticks.
I would like to try your barrel before I open up mine, I suspect it will help. Question is how to open the port in the block, or even measure it to see if it needs to be open. I guess if the barrel works then who cares. Lets get together and make it happen. BTW, still nothing from Corbin, the wait is way too long and killing me.

The port in the block is .250" so it is plenty big enough
nothing from Corbin yet wow it has been way to long .

Hi!
Just to wake up the old thread
Did you manage to open up the port?
I saw this video:
and the guy stated that he almost ruined the rifle trying to open up the port
I did ask him for a clarification, he did respond with some vague explanation on how he plugged the hole back.
Did you manage to measure the original port diameter?
The guy on the video said that it is only 0.19" (5mm) and he opened it up to a bit more than .25" (almost 6,5mm)
Do you know what is the volume original outlet valve chamber?
Your all up volume (chamber + added plenum) is 100cc or only added plenum is 100cc?
Thanks!

I did open up the valve but i was too chicken to for myself so my friend doug noble dud it for me. We opened it to .300 roughly, i can recall the exact opening.
Gun shoots 110 fpe as a .300 caliber. I converted this gun to .250 and is shooting 90 fpe as a 25 caliber. I have a bit of an accuracy issue in 25 cal i need to figure out, it is a new barrel that has not yet been proven.
The plenum is 100 cc which adds to the volume of the bottle. The bottle is high pressure air, regulator screwed into bottle and then the output of regulated air is fed into the plenum.

Just a few more questions
Regarding plenum volume I was asking about air chamber after the plenum and before the valve itself
You've made a plenum which goes between the regulator and rifles breech
But that part of breech before the valve itself has some volume.
I have an AirWolf and since breech is similar I know that this chamber has quite a big volume
I could measure it next time I disassemble the AirWolf but that won't be for some time because it shoots great and there is no need for maintenance at the moment
So, if you've made a plenum of 100cc plus added volume from that chamber in front of the valve, it adds up to more than 100cc
Did I understood correctly that you have opened up the valve? Made a thicker valve stem so more air can pass through when it's opened?
I thought that you've opened the transfer port because that's what the guy on the video did
If you did open up the transfer port, from which side have you opened it up?
Did you go from the top side, opening up the hole where the grub screw which holds the barrel goes or did you go from the bottom through the part where the valve is?
Possibly any pictures of the work done?
How did you plug the holes after? Grub screws or something else?
Maybe there are some crucial differences in design between Wolf/Ranger and the Wolverine breech so I'm off on where the transfer port is and I'm asking wrong questions
What would your recommendations for the Wolverine 303 be regarding efficiency and power?
I will get the regulator
Making a bigger plenum?
Opening up valve port?
Opening up transfer port?
Thanks!
