what droop mount ??

my new underlever is amazingly accurate with FO sights but with several scopes i have tried,
its around 10-12" low @ center elevation adjustment and 5-6" low at max "up" adjustment.

last resort is to let MM bend the barrel, but he says to try a few things first and a droop
mount is one of them.

i have seen the UTG droop mount that appears to be fixed, non adjustable.

then i see others that are adjustable.

i even have read here where there are adjustable rings or to use shims under the rear ring....    but won't that distort the scope tube ??

You've got a can of worms here.  Droop compensation may be achieved via a dovetail to Weaver adapter.  I understand the XS-46 has a dovetail on the receiver and comes with an adapter so you should be able to remove the included adapter and replace it with a droop adapter.  The idea is not to add a droop adapter to get perfect elevation but to get it within a range with which you can work.

I am not a big fan of adjustable mounts though I've only tried one type.  They do work and they are stable I just don't personally like them. 

I am even less in favor of shimming scope rings as it can place undue stress on the scope tube.  You are putting a slight angle on the tube but the mount angle doesn't change.  Bending of the scope tube can result.

yes i'm wanting to remove the supplied adapter and install a decent droop adapter
like the utg 11mm to weaver droop adapter which is fixed and non-adjustable to get me in the ball park of correct elevation adjustments.

i'm a PB'r veteran of 60+ years and realize that scopes dont need any ring mods...

I have a Diana 48, which I believe has zero droop.  I had to crank the elevation down to get it on target.  I got the Leapers mount.  I chose that one because it has two scope stop pins which line up perfectly with the holes in the dovetail - T06 trigger.

The Leapers should work perfectly for you.

If I ever get a T06 Diana 34 with droop I'll move the mount and get an adapter without droop compensation.

the 135QE arrived today and its looking like its going to be a shooter !!!

well i picked the worst scope i had laying around and put a shim ( a broadhead blade ) under the rear scope ring...and tested.

with about 75% of the down adjustment....it worked !!

i think the scope is confused the same as i am 

this will put me frog'n this weekend with the underlever until the compensation adapter arrives end of next week...i hope.

BKL makes both a drop compensated mount (24 MOA), and adjustable mount, and their stuff is first class.
