BSA Sweet 17 and a B-26 a marriage made in heaven?

I just received my replacement scope from BSA. I had previously used the Sweet 17 with a Gamo Bone collector and destroyed the scope. BSA was really good and returned the scope in a week.
Now I'm wondering if it's safe to mount it on my MM tuned B-26. My other options are an out of the boxXS-25-SFB or my Ruger 10/22 which I never shoot. I'd hate to have a perfectly good scope sit on a shelf for a year or more until I pick up a CO2 rifle

Hmmmm. not familiar with the Sweet 17. Is it springer-rated?

If unsure, contact BSA to determine whether that model is springer rated.

I bought it from Airgun Depot, their site says it's rated for "airguns ". BSA replaced it after I ruined it on an air rifle.
I sent BSA an email asking about it.

This is the description from Airgun Depot
"The BSA Sweet 17 3-9X40 AO scope is catching on fast with varmint and target shooters. Featuring a quick change turret system specially calibrated for multiple grain weights for various calibers. This stress tested airgun scope is built to handle airgun recoil on airguns up to .30 caliber. Whether your target shooting or hunting, this scope will prove to be reliable and help you attain better accuracy"
BSA got back to me and said "not air rifle rated"
I know it's a $50 scope and after reading posts on GTA you can't get a good scope for that price. Still I'm a little bummed and just a touch PO'd. I'll contact AD and see what they say.

I recall reading there were two "Sweet17" variants, the type on the rack that are sealed clear plastic, and the scopes in the black/yellow BSA box. Apparently the boxed versions are superior?
I have read posts from several forum members here that have no issues using the boxed sweet 17 on mid-level springers.
I've got some BSA non-airgun rated scopes on guns shooting 12/13 fpe. They're 30mm side focus (not sweet 17) and two have seen @ 1000 pellets go downrange.

Ok, that makes sense, mine came in the plastic clamshell.
What doesn't make sense is BSA makes a line of scopes purpose built for airguns and Airgun Depot doesn't carry any of them.

Kent, I am not sure about whether BSA makes a "springer rated" scope though I have read members on here that have them mounted on springers.
Generally, the recommendation on this forum. (this is supposing budget-minded priced).
Hawke, Centerpoint, UTG/ Leapers and Hammers.
These can be found mainly at pyramyd or amazon.
Then there are other models from various brands that supposed to work well on springers:
Bushnell--the tactical type, not sure which model(s)
Leupold and Nikon also have a model or 2 but I am not familiar with which ones, EFR or something like that.

I'm going to declare victory,,as minor as it is. Here's the condensed version.
Emailed BSA no the scope isn't for springers
Emailed Airgun Depot, your past the 30 days call Gamo
I told Airgun Depot the problem is with your site. You're misleading people
Emailed BSA again they said the Sweet 17 is for the .17 HMR not airguns.
I told BSA I'm having problems with one of your retailers. They are misleading people.
BSA said they'd look into it.
Received an email from Airgun Depot that said they were looking into it.
Received an email from Airgun Depot that said the scope isn't rated for springers.
This is the kicker Airgun Depot CHANGED THEIR ONLINE CATALOG.
Whoo hoo yea me.
In case you can't tell I don't win very often
