ok all you 135vortex owners.....what scope ?

i have a BNIB hawke 3-9x40 AO mil-dot #14123

is this hawke AR rated scope going to hold up to this .22cal ?

anyone using the same on there"s ?

I believe it will hold up. AO is rugged by design. It's the side focus models that will fail on springers unless you dig deep in pockets and get a 300 dollar plus scope.

Caveat to that is if you've shot your gun enough to have settled in before mounting this scope. Fresh out of box guns will buck and smoke and in general kill scopes until they settle in. On the off chance it fails 1500 shots in you can just return to Hawke for a new one or add few bucks to upgrade to an Airmax model 2-7x or 3-9x. Gotta love warranties and companies that stand by them.

Honestly, I doubt it. Good scope and all, just a fair warning the 125/135 are about as hard on scopes as anything on the market.  Hawke makes solid tier 2 optics, exceptional for the price, but is definitely tier 3 when it comes to handing the recoil of springers or firearms like the FN FAL with a forward kick that utterly dwarf that of an AR-10/15.
Like gut2fish said, great they have a lifetime warranty, but you may very well be paying to send back that scope over and over until you eventually try something different.

I put a UTG 4-16-x40 AO scope on both of my 135s.So far they have worked great.Approx 1500 pellets through both guns. No problems so far and the price is good for the scope.Blue loc-tite on all mounts and has worked great.

  I have yet to be disappointed by the  Centerpoint 4x16 AO on any of my magnum springers...including my Diana 54 or my Beeman R1. In the 12 years or so that I've been using them, only an example of it's earliest design has failed...and it took a long time to do so. Since the redesign many years ago, none of my CPs have failed.  Maybe I'm just lucky,but I'm pretty sure my scope is going to survive my 135 Vortex as well...here's hoping.

My Walther Talon .22 springer (same rifle as the Hatsan 125) has a Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 AO and I have yet to have any issues with it for a rifle that kicks like a small mule. The Vortex rifles recoil different than the spring versions and while they still kick hard, it's a straight forward and back recoil, not the twisting of a spring uncoiling which is what tends to destroy scopes faster.
Granted, I only have about 500 shots on it but not expecting to have problems and even if for whatever reason I do, I'll ship it back to Hawke under the warranty. For that matter, I have 10 Vantage scopes on springers and gas rams with various degrees of recoil, have never had any problems and why I never hesitate to say try one.

I have had 2 Hawke advantage 3-9x40 scopes fail on me. One was on an HW95 and one was on a Benjamin NP2. Both were returned and replaced. The one I now have mounted on a rimfire. The other Hawke let me upgrade to an airmax. I now have 3 airmax 4-12x40 scopes. Since I have started using thier airmax line of scopes on my springers I have not had one fail.

Running the Hammers 3x9x32 AO scope with 4 bolt one piece mount on my 135 QE Vortex.

52$ on amazon, mildot scope, good glass, and that one piece mount stays PUT.

I have mine mounted with the rear bolt off the rail to get the eye relief right. And it has still stayed put for 4 months. No rezero'ing of scope, no movement, no problems.

I like this scope so much I bought a second to put on my Hatsan Striker in wood stock.

My Hawke Vantage was holding up just fine on my HW77k @26 Joule/19FPE. The gun was a bucking bronco at that power-level but the scope held up fine for a 1000 shots, after which I decided to tune it down a bit.

I would just get a dampa mount to be on the safe side though.
