A work in progress... .22 cal

This picture is with a set of my 10m grips on but without the adjustible hand shelf installed, so that is what the grooves are for. The grips and forearm also need stippled as well. The 13xx gun is my favorite airgun without a doubt.

Bob, that two-shot design is the SHIZZ! Seriously. I wonder if it could be simplified and boiled down to it's essence and put into production or semi-custom production... At a price...

Seriously, it's brilliant. No expensive pump. No CO2 limitations. No SCUBA stuff. Two fast shots and not too many pumps to go again. About the only thing more I'd want is an LDC.

As I type, I'm liking the gun concept more and more. If you don't mind, how much do you have in it and could you guide someone through the process?

Great lookin' guns guys , I really enjoyed building mine . With all the possibilties out there it has crossed my mind more than once to build a second one . Maybe the 1322. Like anything else the scond build should benefit from from the knowledge gained in the first, got a lot of ideas on what to do with it.

Got another project I have been working on, hopefully will start getting some pics up soon.

A couple thoughts come to mind as I look at all these guns. They're all directed at Crosman.

First, Crosman needs to make an adjustable carbine stock. EVERYONE wants a higher cheek weld, sooner or later and many need a bit more length (or less). How tough would that be? Or at least a cheep cheek piece that will clip or screw on. I mean, have a designer plan it and job it out to china. I suspect that the first 100,000 would sell FAST. I mean, if you've got a 22XX, or a 13XX or a PRod, you could use or desperately want/need this kind of thing.

Second, while Crosman is talking to the molders, they might want to have them do some neat fore-grips and even grips to improve the 1377.

Third, Crosman really, REALLY needs to expand the Custom Shop offerings to the 13XX line. It would be very nice to be able to order a 1377 as a 1322 with a 14" barrel, brass receiver, and camo fore-grip and stock. I have to think that everyone who has a CS 22XX is a reasonably likely 13XX buyer. And while that's cool on it's own, what about being able to start there before you do some of the other valve mods?

You know as well as I, I will go the distance on this arguement, so before you post anymore outdated irrelevant videos on the steel industry from the 1970's, take it down yourself and allow the rest of us to enjoy a decent Mostly made in US airgun without this petty nonsense.

MM, as you know, I can take you the distance and with more hard economics to back me up, but really I just want to say, "Lighten-up, Francis".

I and millions of others want more than is offered I don't much care if I have to buy it from overseas, though I like it when I can buy what I need locally. The point is that when the ONLY way to get what we need is to fabricate ourselves, well, while it's fun, it also results in less of us getting what we want/need. That may be part of why the work in this thread is so impressive--it's RARE and special. That's fantastic, but it would be nice to have more of us a bit better served with the guns we want and need. My desire is to have Crosman step up a bit more on these guns. I do not presume to have standing to tell them how to source the components of their product.

I would love to educate you on the economics and ethics of trade, but that really WOULD be a hijack and is beyond the purview of this entire site, I think.

All I am trying to get you to do is argue this perspective in an appropriate setting, hi-jacking a thread devoted to a product I am fairly certain you don't even currently own doesn't seem to be the one.
From an American standing up for Americans,
to an "American" who continuously stands up for china.
The carbine stock is made here and there is no reason you couldn't have suggested a addition to the product line that didn't involve farming out the labor, moreover I don't think it was coincidence your timing in bringing this up. Again my apologies to all affected by this , the guns posted here are all excellent and I hope this thread can continue uninterupted.
