RWS owners: peep sights and machinists among you?

I have the former, and I think I need the help of the latter. Here's the situation (with my RWS-52/.177). My Williams FP_AG_TK (targeting knobs) peep sight is nearly out of right windage adjustment. So much so that I took the advice of Gary here to lean the front post to the left a bit. Doing so moved the POI to the right, and I was able to regain a little windage, but not much. In no way can I center the aperture adjustment without throwing the POI way to the left. Something is misaligned somewhere. Just eyeballing it, I'd say the scope rail is off a degree or two, but of course I can't be sure. The barrel looks straight though I haven't checked it to know for certain. What I've done is to create copper "shims" of a V shape to fit both the peep base and the scope rail. The right side of the peep base is adjustable for the width of the rail, so shimming the left side seemed kinda practical. I want to do this because although leaning the front post gave some success, it did so at the expense of being a visual distraction. Also, as I said, I'm still left with very little right windage adjustment. My goal would be to move the aperture closer to the center of it's windage adjustment AND to set the front post to it's visually vertical position.
So, to anyone who owns an RWS 48/52/54 or similar with that mounted scope rail, and a peep sight, can you make a shim slug from aluminum? It would need to be slotted to fit into the left side of the scope rail and receive the left side of the peep base; the idea being to physically move the peep base to the left, and gain so windage. How wide and how tall? I don't know, but I could guesstimate it after I work with it a bit more. So far the copper shims I made with a total thickness of 0.050 are inadequate, though they did move the POI to the right enough to regain two-three clicks on the peep. Need a lot more to get near the center (near would be good enough).
It's a brain-teaser, but I don't want to try bending the barrel as I am not equipped to do it. Maybe take it to MIDAS Muffler and let them mandrel-bend it a few degrees to the right? j/k.

Ask over on the Dianawerk. There was a discussion of peeps for the 48/52/54 series a while back. You shimming sounds like a good fix for the rear sight but you might want to think about replacing the front sight with something dovetailed, allowing you to shift that, as well. Then you won't have to hang the peep so far to the side.

Hi RF. How ya been? Gary here on the GTA thinks he can make the shim I'm looking for. He has a 48, and is the reason I own a 52. My shooting his 48 was an eye-opener. I really got into the power of it in .177, but the major thing was he had a peep on it. Plus his son Tracy really amazed me with his shooting rifles with open sights. (I don't have a scope mounted now).
I thought the dovetailed thing, but from Hector that requires some machining of a dove tail at 90 degrees on the muzzle brake to accommodate a front sight that can be adjusted for windage. I'm speaking of the Williams Fire Light series of front sights. You know of something different? Also I assume he means the brake for the T01 versions (though I should ask him for clarification). Also I can't use the the T05 globe sight adaptation because I have the high version of the Williams peep. I've looked at it and I'm pretty certain I'd have to buy the low-rider Williams peep. Gary's 48 is the T01 version, and I think his peep is the Crosman (Williams) low-rider.
I may be wrong...!!!
