that is great news, i have had my unlined gold filter at work for over a year and a half (+/- 28 run time hours) and i also have no sign of corrosion or errosion through-out the canister.

Another thing to note is I had the aluminum 100cft scuba tank visually inspected at the corner dive shop and there was no moisture present in the scuba tank.(Although I wouldn't use this as breathable air it is definitely clean enough for my guns.) I think this is a good system to use. I run the regular black oil separator that comes with the Yong Heng through the large gold filter than through another whip and at the end of that whip a smaller gold oil separator with a cigarette size filter. There is a oil spot on the first gauze filter on the black oil separator on the side of the compressor but that's it. I do change the filter in the first black oil separator after every fill but until recently just left all else as is. Curiosity is why I finally decided to  take it all apart.
