I agree with you stacycfi ,its comming i believe that they are trying to take all our arms to have better control of us for when martial law arrives ...little by little our rights are being taken away and soon we will have none ......its just the begining and will get worst by june of 2012 ...

Supposedly this only effects replica gun, airsoft and air guns that are made to resemble "real" guns.
I would think that would also include the Walther lever-action rifles too. Yuck, a hot pink lever gun 

So, we all know that a scoped springer rifle is not a replica of a firearm, but to the great unwashed that Gamo Big Cat  or Diana 34 may look like you're toting "deer rifle" around in your back yard.
I hope this insanity doesn't spread out of Kalifornia.

If you read the actual bill proposed it includes "BB devices" and  "pellet devices"

I don't see an advantage to paint air guns in a bright colour. It would be safer for the public to restrict the power of air pistols and air rifles to 7,5 Joules like here. This would make the USA so much safer.

This is not the issue. It is strictly about the end result, taking away Gun Rights. Most cities already have laws in place about shooting Pellet/BB guns in public places. If it was about "keeping us safe" so law enforcement does not get confused over an airsoft gun or pellet gun(already laws in place for pellet/bb guns) verses a fire arm, they would simply have a law not allowing the use air soft guns in public places in the cities.
 I completely agree with the opposing argument to the bill, people are going to have the misconception that pellet guns are toys and are not dangerous.
I am not saying airsoft guns are not dangerous by any stretch of the imagination, but they are TOYS. Pellet guns/BB guns are not.
 Plus do not forget according to the officer one of the three kids did not comply to the officers request. So because some one did not comply, everyone gets punished?
 So what's next, everyone who would never get in a high speed chase with the cops would have to drive cars of a certain color but the guys who would run have to drive black cars? Everybody would agree that is INSANE. The criminals would still try to blend in with the rest of society like they do now(for the most part). Same would happen with "toy guns" verses fire arms. Heck it already has happened.

I HATE our laws and I can do nothing about it. Do you want to hear more? Even with a license no more than 16 Joules for us potatoes. Shooting with your 16 joules guns on your own property? FORGET IT. Only on approved shooting ranges.

Want a taste of some firearms laws? One year membership in a gun club before you can even think about your own .22 or bigger caliber firearm. Must be 18 years old for long guns, under 25 years you need a psycho test from uncle doctor for pistols. You can only buy firearms for your events you shoot. Want to buy a pistol when you only shoot in rifle events? No pistol for you. You leave the club you lose your guns. Simple. LOLOLOLOLOL

You can thank god for the firearm laws in your country.

Anti gun nuts need time but in my opinion they will win at the end. Before 1970 there were no restricions on air guns and you could buy .22 caliber long guns at the age of 18 without a license or that kind of &^^&. You could also buy a lot more stuff than today which I can not all list. Today? We are ****** deep. Did it change anything? Nope, we have killing sprees in schools which didn't happen before 1970 in a way that occur today.

The issue isn't gun color...stupid idiot liberal scumbags.

Instead of trying to hide weapons from the public and mark them as tools of demonic intent they need to teach every single kid about weapon safety and more importantly.

Some IDIOTIC kid pointed an airsoft pistol at a cop after him and his friends were caught playing in some public park.  Doesn't matter hey! the color of the gun us. Doesn't matter if it's an airsoft or a "dang" squirt gun! You don't point weapons at cops or any one EVER. You think that officer wouldn't draw his weapon on that hid EVEN IF it was painted yellow!?!?! *(&^ no! Airsoft guns are nasty powerful! A good GBB pistol could easy blind you!

NO FOOLS. Airsoft and "bb devices" aren't any less dangerous then real guns. Painting them funny colors doesn't do a "dang" thing for the issue because they ARE dangerous. They can blow your eyes out and we know how nasty high powered pellet guns are. Their is no point in "defining" pellet or airsoft weapons. They should be treated as REAL WEAPONS because they are WEAPONS.

Painting a "dang" Honda any other color won't make it less of a car! A gun is a gun is a gun is a gun. Kid should of been taught better. Kid should of known better.  

Don't rely on regulating weapons. I think every kid NEEDS to take hunters safety.

As an avid airsofter and paintballer I would encourage a REQUIRED safety and operations course for those sports. People need to know how to be safe.

The only way to fix stupid is education. I hate liberals. They accomplish nothing with their firearms programs. They've seen way to many stupid war movies and watch to much CSI.

Life, liberty, and the right to happiness. I love shooting. I love my weapons. They bring joy to my life. I am a sane rational safe person and I'll run any course and take any test to prove that I know how to handle my weapons and of sound mind and soul.

They can take my guns IF they put a ban on music, painting, and fast cars. My guns aren't death machines to me, they are works of art. They may pry them from my cold dead fingers.

These are the same idiots who blame the schools and society for the bad parents who can't raise their kids to be productive brain using members of society.

Yea..nvm...that's the issue. Blame the parents. It's all our parents faults airguns are dangerous.
