Oh man. I'm excited. I'll be getting into town around 4 or 5 tomorrow. Would it be okay if we stopped by even if the shooting has concluded for the day?

Gene, Bob:
Looks like you are having fun already! Save some for me. I am planning to drive up tomorrow (Friday) after work. Gene: are you still saving the couch for me if I stay the night? Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Jay, wish you could have made it too. We had a pretty good turnout, the largest yet. I believe there was between 25-30 members, and several spouses. It was GREAT to get together and meet some fine GTA family members. We're heading back to West TN in the morning but the shoot will be going on for a little while tomorrow. Teresa and I have a 9-10 hour drive ahead tomorrow so we have to get an early start.
I'm sure Gene and David will post more pictures and I'll add mine after I get a little time to edit and resize them. I want to say a few things though. First off, thank you to every member that showed up. I think it makes our GTA family even closer. Thank you to everyone that sent or brought things to raffle or give away. We had several items that almost raised enough money to cover the event. And every penny was appreciated. I hope everyone that won prizes enjoys them. MANY thanks to Gene and Bob for hosting the meet. Especially Gene, for sharing his home and property. A VERY special thanks to Cathy, Gene's fantastic wife, for all the hard work and constant smile. You made us ALL feel very welcome and at home. You went out of your way to fix vittles and help us have a good time. We love ya gal.
Many thanks to David (Rocker1) and his lovely wife Diane. You helped set this thing up and get us organized. It wouldn't have been as enjoyable or be the same without you two. I'm looking forward to having Gene, Cathy, David & Diane at our home any time they want a trip to West TN. A big thanks to Ernie for clearing the shooting range and keeping the targets set up and ready!!!! Good job brother. The weekend for Teresa and I was just TOO short. We really felt like we were just getting to know everyone when it was sadly time to leave. I can tell you it was a totally different vacation than we have ever had and one of the most memorable and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the next one already. We are tossing the idea around to have another one in the fall.
I could ramble on for a while longer but I'll spare everyone.
I just wanted to thank each and EVERYONE for coming and the special thanks for the host and hostess. If you were in doubt about attending, DO NOT miss the next one!!!!
Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave

I am blown away !
This whole event speaks volumes about Gene and Bob and the forum they have built, and about
everyone
who participates in the GTA and makes it stronger every day. Are there any other forums where the Administrator would extend an open invitation (and feel comfortable doing it, I think) to the entire forum to visit his home for a great time of fellowship and airguns? And Gene, your wife must be a real peach to put up with a bunch of strangers descending upon her house for several days.
The GTA is quite an exceptional place! IMHO

Me and my son had a GREAT time at the fun shoot yesterday! It was fantastic seeing old friends and making new ones. Other than a couple of very brief rain showers, the weather was perfect. It is just too much fun to get together with a bunch of airgun nuts! Getting to see (and sometimes shoot) other peoples guns is great. Sharing ideas on airgun mods is fun on the forum but it's even better in person. All I can say is if you missed it, you missed a fantastic time! I can't wait for the next one.
A big THANK YOU to Gene, David and everybody else that worked so hard to make this happen!!!
