New 34 en-route: Should I tear it down ASAP and grease or? Which grease(s)?

So Im getting a new 34 delivered here soon, and I was wondering if I should tear it down and regrease now or soon? I wanted to get a Vortek kit so then obviously Id be regreasing anyway.

That leads me to the seconds question: What grease(s) should I go with? Strip it all and use Ultimox/Krytox? What amount and where should I apply the greases? I know there has to be a guide out there somewhere.

I just use vortek super moly everywhere except the spring.   If a Vortek kit then I use the supplied spring lube, otherwise jm heavy tar on the spring.   

I also cut a smear of moly with a few drops of RWS spring cylinder oil for use on pivot points and cocking shoe.

From what I've heard, if you use krytox, then you use only krytox.  All traces of old lube must be removed.

The kit will come with some honey colored goo for the spring.   You'll need to buy the supermoly separately. Then you should be good to go.

...  for the exterior of the gun, wood and all, try ballistol.  It's available at pyramyd air.

Yup.  Lock, stock and barrel. 

Pivot points just a drop or two of RWS spring cylinder oil occasionally.   But put a dab of moly on the barrel pivot when you reassemble.

If I got a new Diana 34 I'd probably shoot it for awhile as received just to make sure everything was working.  You might want to go so far as to put a couple tins of pellets through it juts to get to know the gun.

As far as lubricants I don't use moly for anything anymore.  I use Krytox or Ultimox where I would formerly use moly.  I use Super Lube on teh spring.

Appreciate it. I seen them coming in dry and I was afraid of accelerated wear that could take place.

Seems that recent Diana ship with very tight barrel tension.  This make closing the cocking cycle just as hard as opening the cocking cycle.  If you gun does this, take the stock off and loosen the front barrel pivot screw.  You want the barrel just tight enough that on the closing cocking cycle the barrel will just not move on its own.

Shoot it first. Shoot it a lot. Make sure it is in good working order before you start farting around with it. I shot mine for a few thousand rounds and broke the spring before opening it up.
