7.9 gr too light for 34?

I was going through my pellet stock of 177 pellets as Im waiting for my 34 Compact to arrive and I see that along with heavier 10gr pellets I also have a large amount of 7.9 gr pellets. I know with this AG that from what people are reporting is that the gun does better with the heavier gr pellets (8.5-10)

Will shooting the 7.9 gr pellets be too light for the 34 C as in causing damage?

I was going to test them at the range after break in but didnt want to cause issues with them being too light

I don't think it'll hurt it at all. It might be a little louder though.

7.9 grain will do no damage whatsoever.  You will have to experiment a bit to find which pellet your specific gun prefers.

Both my break barrel Dianas (34 & 35) like the RWS Super Domes (8.3 grain)  better than anything else I've tried.  My fixed barrel Diana has more expensive taste.  It thinks there's nothing to compare with a JSB Exact in 8.44 grains.

It's all a matter of trial and error.

Ok sounds good..... I just wasn't sure... I know the 8.3 on up are what is normally used, but I have quite a few tins of 7.9 that Id probably just use when at the range so sound isn't a factor.

I use JSB. My 34P likes in order
JSB Exact 8.44
JSB Heavy 10.34
JSB Express 7.87
The 7.87 and 8.44 have about the same "shot cycle"
The 10.34 shoots really sweet but not quite as accurate as the 8.44.
I do not think a 7.9 is light enough to do damage to your rifle,  however you might try the Heavy 10.34.
You will be surprised at how much more civilized the 34 will be. If you are lucky enough for those to be your rifles favorite, you will be set.
