Ruger Air Hawk .177..... Affordable

Once again I would like to give my thumbs up for an affordable RWS -34 Chinese Clone. Priced under a modest $120.00  No where near the quality of any German made springer but it can hold its own. I have owned a couple of these little jewels and was amazed at the performance. Build quality I could compare to Chinese Bam air guns. In fact they may even be produced by Bam.

The main difference between the Ruger Air Hawks build is that they use a two piece articulating cocking linkgage where RWS 34's use a single cocking arm.

Ruger uses the same trigger design as all RWS springers. Two stage adjustable trigger with a pull weight of under 3 lbs. Instead of trigger blade being plastic like RWS, Ruger uses a metal blade.

Blueing is good and comes with fiber optic sites. Stocks are wood with no checkering but are ambi.

Like I have mentioned, I have bought at least 3 of these air guns over time and have tuned them and even had stocks moded to my tastes. The only reason I sold them was because I own two RWS 34's which I feel shoot just as well but are more valuable do to the fact that they are genuine German made.

Nothing wrong with the Ruger Air Hawk for those who are just starting out in air gunning and not want to wrap up allot of money for a 1000 fps springer.

A friend of mine purchased a Ruger air hawk Canadian non-pal model, and I did a little tune on it. Those are pretty sweet, and for the price you get a lot of gun.Rob

I just traded my Ruger for a Gamo Big Cat 1200 I like it a lot better, the feel of it, weight (much lighter) and trigger pull all make it a much better shooter (for me)
