I HIGHLY doubt they hardened the valve stem. Nothing Ive seen on the Krals are hardened and that includes the hammer and sear. Its time the community addresses all these failures and lets Kral know were not OK with it. It doesnt seem they are addressing the multiple issues or providing any replacement parts or even stating they are working on it. I guess the old saying applies here "You get what you pay fore". And thats a shame really as they really could have made quite the reputation for affordable and reliable guns. It just doesnt seem that way now sadly.

Evanix also has snapping and mushrooming valve stems, non-hardened (or poorly hardened) sears and soft sidelevers. In JKHan exploded diagram it says Hyundai heavy industries, I have a suspicion that all these parts are coming from same source and they are just assembled under different brands in different locations.
Couldn't agree more Travis. What really makes the failures worse is the silence from Kral. Wouldn't you think that if anything they'd go above and beyond when marketing their products in a new country, the USA? Way to make a great reputation! I loved mine initially, now I'd never recommend them to anyone. A real shame. Ed
Quick question, Does anyone know, are these .25 barrels chocked? I just read where Travis tested and the .22 were not chocked. Thanks!Michael :- )
I couldn't stand the suspense so I removed the stock from my PB and took a look at the valve stem. It looks pristine and there is no deformation from the hammer whatsoever. I must have won the valve stem lottery. I also don't see where the charging handle shows any weak points and there seems to be very little stress on it when cocking. I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed when firing.
With the stock off, you can see the valve stem through the slot in the side. Cocking the hammer gives a better view.

Well, my Kral PB broke the valve stem a couple nights ago. Had just shot it over the chrono the night before and it was shooting CPDs at 920-968-920 over four mags- a little less power than stock as I had tinkered with HS settings. Took it out to mop some starlings and when I pulled down on the first one and pulled the trigger all I got was a "click". I thought "huh, that's weird " so I took the mag out and tried again. Same thing. Dang! Back to the house 1/2 mile away and opened her up to find the valve stem rattling around once the hammer was pulled back. I have a hard time thinking that this would fail after less than 3000 cycles, but have heard of valve stems breaking before; I'd just never experienced it. I feel like the wise old owl on the Tootsie Pop commercial- "how many licks does it take to break my Krals valve stem?" Lol. Have contacted Air Venturi and am awaiting their response. Real bummer is I've had the PB for 37 days.... So much for returning it. I DO know there has been an issue with the Evanix guns breaking stems a few years back, but was hoping the metallurgy would be better with the Kral. I'm hoping maybe someone can offer a suggestion of how to de-gas the gun so I can ship it (currently sitting at 200 BAR) or just fix it myself. Don't get me wrong, I love the rifle, but am disappointed about my current dilemma. Does anyone have a source for valve stems? Thanks to everybody in advance!
