Fastest pellet, as you would expect, was H&N Match Green at 5.25 gr with an average muzzle velocity of 681 fps.  Surprisingly, most powerful pellet at 6.09 fpe was the RWS R-10 wadcutter at 7.0 grains, followed closely by Crosman Hunting domed yielding 5.94 fpe at 7.4 gr.  Worst performer was the Crosman Destroyer, which produced only 4.88 fpe, also at 7.4 gr.  If I had to guess I'd say the indented point on the Destroyer produces a little turbulence at the front of the pellet, which slows it down more relative to it's weight.  Whereas with the domed, pointed domed and flat profile pellets you probably see more laminar flow and less drag.  So far all my shooting has been off-hand, so next test is to see which pellet groups best off the bench.  I'll bet on the RWS R-10 7.0 gr as it consistently shoots best in my 10m guns.
