FWB 300s connection

While searching for a Feinwerkbau FWB 300S I met a gent on another forum who is also a member here but only had 1 "intro" post.
 After conversing it seems he has a lead on the collegiate shooting club retired guns. He gets them in quantities and then rebuilds them with all new Feinwerkbau seal kits and cold blues the metal to look very nice. On top of the initial gun purchase he charges $150 for the service, includes $60 in parts and return shipping. He will restore the wood as well, then he sells a fully restored model for or $575.
I opted for him leaving that wood work to me. ... he has agreed to $475, That would save me $100 and I can do the wood myself and my choice of current inventory.
Here are 5 guns he currently has awaiting to be restored with 2 more arriving soon. 1 is already spoken for but not by me... yet!



I will be glad to "test the waters" and give feed back once mine is in hand.... but thought if we could get a group "buy in" it might persuade him to give a price break.... or not. I have no affiliation with him other than emails, phone conversations and text messages. Just sharing the opportunity if some one here wants to join in. I asked for detailed pics with serial numbers of the two I am interested in (middle and right) as well as the two he has coming.  He knows I can put in a down payment on my choice but will be a month before I can pay in full. This will give him time to do a good job. He reports he gets more in all the time. 

PS: If this does NOT seem like a good deal... PLEASE let me know if you have something better. These FWB 300S's seem to go anywhere from $250 to $750 so I figured this was fair for a fully restored model.

I recently bought a re-built 300S from a guy on another forum, and couldn't be happier with the transaction.  He refinished the stock, and I paid a bit more than you will, but I'd do it again!

Would be interested in one also. Every time one comes up on another forum they dont last long. Noticed none of them have sights. Can they come with sights?.

Andrew, Good observation. I will ask and report back here.
IF you can find original Sights, they seem to go northward of about $100 I think, right?
That would sure be worth getting it up front.

I would prefer with the open sights if possible. Seems like a shooting club would use them. Just keep us updated. Thanks

 I know that guy !!! Lol ..Its me Scott enjoyed our chat and I'll be in touch when I start getting them rebuilt . I WISH I had a shooting club I was importing them from . But I did purchase a lot that came from a shooting club . I get them from all over . The search continues for more guns . I don't post here often but thought I would introduce myself .

If you need sights and the one you want doesn't
 have them, I can fix you up...if Joe will tell me how to remove the fronts!

No sorry Scott the guns I'm getting don't have a rear sight ...To remove a front sight there is a pin that holds it on . On one side of the pin i s a flat spot , the other side appears round . Use a punch and tap out the pin from the side with the flat spot . Not all 300 front sights work with all guns . Rear sights are universal. Hope that helps . PS I truly appreciate the guys who have recommend me . I do my very best to make sure guys are happy with the guns I rebuild .
