Not much springer news that I could find at the 2017 IWA show in Germany. The Stoeger F40 looks interesting. It has a pop-up mag to load when the underlever is cocked. Nice looking rifle. I don't know much about Stoeger but can't wait to read a review on this rifle. It will be available mid-year.

If I calculated the specs right at (3.1 kg) 6.5 lbs. This rifle is lighter than most under levers.

That certainly looks a nice rifle. From the pictures the finish looks very good but it always does in advertising pictures.
Diana 300R has that type of loading port. I vaguely recall something about the Diana port being not absolutely top class. That sort loading port has a name but I can't recall what it is.
Anyway it seems no more complicated than the Gamo revolving breach block and more so than all the steel that moves in a Weihrauch underlever.
The angular trigger guard seems out of place to me but just a minor detail.
Better look for a review from Rick Eusler.

Sounds like a similar model as the HW 57 to me. Wonder if its another china clone being sold by Stoeger.

The F40 looks to be Stoeger's version of a Gamo CF20 or CF30.
If that is so it is essentially an underlever B19.

These underlever guns with pop up loading ports are very convenient to cock and load compared to guns with sliding cylinders.

Their new SSP pistol, the XP4 looks nice and is listed at 42 ozs.

All that plastic hanging on the end of the barrel, is a deal breaker for me.
