Marauder Graphics

Should have a new to me .22 Marauder SynRod coming in a week or so. Thinking of having Brother Shadow do a bit of Eddifying to it. Some of you may have seen the awesome job he did on the FireCat and some of the other member's guns. The man has talent! Give him an idea and wait for the results. I been cruising around looking for some I ideas. I ran in to the Harry Potter Marauder Critters. Pretty cool little fellas but I just ain't a Potter kinda guy. Then I kinda stepped away from the whole "Marauder" idea mainly because it's just too predictable. I think I'm going to send these next 2 pics to Brother Ed and see what he comes up with.... Whatcha Think?

Yep. I'm thinking stock, foster fill cap and scope rings. Leave the trigger guard, butt pad, barrel, tube, receiver and scope black. I also think a licking flame and not an all out barnburner. The burning heads on the stock and the flames licking upwards if the gun was standing in the corner. Or would you do the whole gun?

I'd be afraid to do the whole gun without seeing what it would look like beforehand which is impossible. I think having it done like you mentioned would be safer but still looks great.  Just my 2¢.

Hmmm interesting hehehe. The flame effect works good as you mentioned if you want to leave area's and part's black then we don't want to drowned the stock in flames. the black background here and there along the stock will provide for more contrast with flames dancing about here and there. A skull side profile with flames coming off it as if in motion. design gears are turning bro lol. Ed

Betty Lou just signed off on the "SynBad" idea. She said we'll leave the "Hello Kitty" and "Telli Tubbies" to the likes of a couple GTA Moderators. Sure is nice to have at least one "Partner" around here.

I entertained that option. When we did the FireCat we tried to incorporate the given name of the gun, in that case, the Silent cat. Then when we were making plans for the theme on the MadHatter the gun was to be a Hatsan Stryker. This is a Marauder. The name itself inspires thoughts of a marauding pirate in the night guided by greed and the glow of a fire. For me anyways. The Ghost Rider is cool and if this was a Red Ryder.....lol.

My first thought, after reading about flames and cartoons, was the trail of flames left by the roadrunner.

But doesn't really fit the pirate motif.

To be honest, when I first began looking I started out with flaming ghost pirate ships. I decided right away that I wanted something unique.
The wait for the gun to come to me is on.. The theme and funding for it is all but in the bag. Stay tuned, this is going to happen.
