New Valuemax .20 chrony numbers

I was going to try and both chrony and mount up a scope for some accuracy testing of the 4 pellets I got and started by winging about 40 downrange with just open sights which I tend to not be so great with but I was ringing or hitting the bullseye with just a few tweaks so I can't wait to get this thing scoped. I got stopped by rain and had to take the last 5 shots over the chrony getting wet, but here's what I got.
I think there's 6 or maybe 7 available, i have 4 of them and ran the usual 10 shot strings:

-H&N Baracuda 13.58gr:   Average 748, High 761, Low 742, ES 19, SD 5
-Benjamin Dome 14.3gr:  Average 706, High 719, Low 687, ES 32, SD 9
-JSB Exact 13.73gr:         Average 763, High 767, Low 759, ES 8, SD 2
-Predator Polymag 13gr:   Average 742, High 749, Low 735, ES 14, SD 4

So far, I'm really impressed. The rifle has a build date of 12 11 so it's been sitting sealed in a bag for 5 years and I was expecting a fairly dry gun and it's not. First 8-10 shots were pretty loud but then it settled in nice...smooth cocking, 3-ish on the loud scale, had a bit of twang at first but that's slowly faded away and it's turning into a pretty smooth shooting rifle that by the sound of the pellets hitting my backstop is doing it with pretty nice authority.
If you're on the fence about grabbing one, just my lame opinion but hop off and go buy one. So far, I'm very much enjoying mine, $100 well spent.

Great numbers thus far... I'm saving for my next PCP but would REALLY like another .20 regardless of power plant.

Weather for tomorrow is supposed to be favorable so scope got mounted today,  Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 AO. Had to use the Monstrum weaver adapter as I didn't have regular rings but the setup has worked just fine for me before and no doubt it will this time around.

I just had to put my .20 VMX action in a Hatsan Edge stock because the green one was so brittle from sitting for 5+ years also it broke off at the front screws. I love the way it feels in the Edge stock anyway, I have a Centerpoint 4-16x42 scope on it for now.

The wood stock makes the rifle mighty sharp.

Edge went first, Webley Spector went 2nd and has since been modded and refinished so at some point, I'll very likely put the Valuemax in one too. For now, just going to fill the stock for the echo and maybe mod those front stock screw holes...I still have a couple sets of the bronze flange bushings in the tool box.

I put modeling clay in the hollow parts of the stock and grip of my edge stocks and in the Striker100s. Added less than a pound to the rifle and and improved the balance a bit. The wood stock is sitting empty right now.

I think the green makes it more brittle.
When Kawasaki's dirt bikes all had green plastic, they were the most fragile. Rear fenders would snap right off if you let the bike get upside down which happens

  This is exactly how I feel. I've wanted one of these Valuemax .20 cal rifles for a couple of years.

But I think I'm going to get a Marauder next, one way or another.
I need something powerful and quiet for my long range backyard gun.

Hey scp52: have you tried the H&N FTT 11.42gr domes yet? I know they're a bit more pricey than the Benjis and JSBs, but in my Value Max they chronied an average 90 FPS faster than the JSBs (820 vs 730) and 112 FPS faster () than the Benjis (which averaged 708 FPS). Mine groups poorly with the JSBs (VERY tight fit in the breech, I may be damaging those thin skirts getting them seated) and groups pretty well with the Benjis, but so far "stacks" those H&Ns at 20 yards and in. Granted that my gun only has maybe 200 pellets through it so far, and may still be deiselling a bit. ES numbers are 11.6 for the H&Ns and 10.74 for the Benjis...loving this gun!

I haven't yet but I'll likely get a tin in the next pellet order. There's only something like 6? kinds available in .20 so won't break the bank to try them all...lol

Mine likes Beeman Kodiak 13.27g the best. I was out shooting today at our Low Country Fun shoot and shot a 5 shot 1" group at 50 yards with a team of witnesses. I love this gun more every time I shoot it.

Went and ordered up a couple tins of the FTT's and was going to get another tin of JSB's but they were out. Had to come up with a 4th tin so also have the H&N Spitzkugel pointed coming. Hopefully I'll have decent weather to do some testing this weekend.

 Mine is shooting around 775 FPS with the JSB's, too. I have some lighweightt 11.4gr. H & N's & they will bring it up to about 820 FPS. 17-18 lbs of energy.
