Remington AM77 ( Refurbished ), I estimate it at 600 fps
.177 7.9 gr Crosman Premier Hollow Point
Leapers 3-9X32 adjustable objective mil-dot scope
25 yards, outdoor, seated with a make-shift bench
The little circle I drew was hard to see underneath the reticle so I'm pretty happy with the groups even though they're kind of to the right and left of it, but the three strays I dunno... I think I jerked a few shots since what little wind there was would have made them drift to the right, but sometimes even under no wind and when I think I've made a perfect trigger snap ( I don't see the cross-hair bounce at all ) these pellets still go off in some random direction. Haven't got any other pellets to test with yet...

Very good target shooting. CPHPs are not the most consistent pellets around....I also have 2 or 3 flyers out of 10 at 30 yards. If I need to be very precise I use Beeman FTS or Kodiaks (Kodiaks are a bit heavy for the .177 spring though). For general shooting I use the not expensive readily available CPHPs.

All right, glad to hear it's good... I have question though... I shot these groups today, shooting West to East. There were apparently 15-20 MPH W WSW winds, but I hung a shirt on the clothes line and tired my best to shoot when the winds were calm. The groups are generally anywhere from .150-.200 off center (elevation wise, I wasn't really worried so much about windage today)... Think I should wait 'til the wind is calm to see how much I need to adjust the elevation, go with what I've got or just assume I need to adjust it two or three clicks? I'm not sure how the wind at the speed and direction would effect the projectile so I think my best bet is to wait for calm wind, but wow, these group really well even despite it.
Oh, the cross-hair target is 1" b 1".

the long distance shooters i know (600 yard bench) said your gun is never sighted in. have to sight it in every time. meaning conditions are always a little different. i would go with a calm day and try and guess the wind from there.
looking pretty good in the wind. definitely kill shots.

Well, I got kind of sick of waiting for a perfectly calm day, so I just went out and put another shirt on the clothes line and watched the leaves on the trees and everything. Anyway, Chairgun said that I should expect a .250" (roundabout) lower POI than what I zeroed with the CPHP, so I turned it 4 clicks down and it was actually lower than that last group. I put it back on 0 and I think it was closer, desipte the wind blowing shots way to the left or right and sending one tumbling and making that huge hole, before that it wasn't that big, so it kind of gives an illusion of a tigther group than it was. However, there were three or 4 that landed just left or right of the circle (and one just on the bottom line), so I think the elevation is pretty spot on especially with the last pic...
The story there is that, where that top hole is, there was a fly literally just to the left of it. When the pellet landed the fly didn't even seem to notice, and it was literally so close to the fly that I wouldn't have been surprised if it had grazed him or something. The second shot made him fly away... I was pretty stoked and thought I hit him until I went and got the target, and I'm pretty sure I hit low left of where he was.
So it seems that the CPHP zero is the same for the Predators in this gun and range, but I still haven't had a day with the wind as calm with the group I shot with them so I don't know how definitive that is. It would be really sweet to zero in with the less expensive CPHP and be able to count on the POI being about the same or good enough... Seems that's the case, but it was pretty far from completely calm today.
