Rebuild kit(s) for 1986 Blue streak?

Greetings members,
New guy here. I'll try to get straight to it. I am the original owner and bought it brand new. Still functions but now pellet velocity at 8 pumps is 520 FPS. A few years ago it was just under 600. I had planned to send it to MAC1 but sadly, that just is not going to fit in the financial folder. ( Thank you Tim for taking the time to talk with me and answer my lame questions.) I have found several kits out there, is there one that members could/would recommend to bring this air rifle back to speed? I searched but didn't really find a query as such. I apologize if this is already in the forum somewhere. Thank you. Good luck and good shooting!

Doug:
I'm sure that someone with lots more knowledge than me will be along shortly.
There are several kits that you can find on the internet. Mac1, Baker Airguns, and Pyramyd Air come to mine. My understanding is that Mac1's kit is the best but it does not include the Sheridan tool. Not sure if you need the special tool with an 86 Blue Streak.
Your best bet is probable to give Tim another call.

You will need the tool Doug. So your choice is either Baker or Pyramyd.

Ohh, have you oiled it lately? When you put it away do you leave a pump in it?

It has been lightly oiled but I did not store it with any pressure. Until recently, I had no idea. For the longest time I would shoot it every other day, but for a few years it has been in the safe resting quietly. I can remember taking a full box of yellow sheridan pellets and returning home with maybe 100 after shooting with friends all day. I noticed that there are some price differences among the seal kits, I was not sure if they were all basically the same or perhaps one gave better results than the other. I'll be sure to scoop up the specialized tool. I started shooting informally indoors at our rifle club and want to get this old gal back up to speed. Something about showing up with this classic on the firing line
.....kinda like shouldering an M1 Garand or M14! Good luck and good shooting!

Get the kit for this Dan from Mac1 it will come with a bottle of his secret sauce. Yea I'm sure the valve stem rubber is probably rock hard. Leave a pump in it tonight and check tomorrow see if the air is still in there. If it's gone a couple years in storage without air left in the valve it's got dried up rubber on the valve stem and check valve.
