Hatsan BullBoss or Benjamin Armada in 25

Shot count, power,accuracy,reliability , loudness etc.

I just went through this exact same decision myself.
I sold my Benjamin for a loss, and moved to a Bullboss.

Check out Southern Gunner on youtube.  He says his Armada is the most accurate gun he has.  I believe him.  It's about accuracy for me, so I'm leaning Armada.  Good luck!  If you get a bullboss, send it to Baxter Walton to tune.  You won't be disappointed!

in one review I read he said after about 40 shots the bull boss mag stopped  working right and he had to advance it by hand...

I can only comment about the 25 cal Armada:

Pluses:

- Very sturdy gun
- One piece alum foregrip protects the floating barrel/shroud
- Allot of space to mount rails for accessories.
- Can use your favorite AR pistol grip and butt stock
- Very good accuracy with the proven GM barrel
- Proven Mrod action with most aftermarket parts fitting
- Good medium range power and shot count.  30-45FPE via oem adjustments
- Excellent part support from crosman
- Many knowledgeable users that can assist with questions
- Fairly quiet, and can be improved with tuning and if needed aftermarket parts
- Excellent and proven adjustable 2-stage trigger
- Bolt can be moved for lefties


Minuses:

- Muzzle heavy compared to Mrod
- Funky issue with having to pull the bolt back further than cocked to insert mag
- Need to remove stock to make adjustments, more time consuming than Mrod
- OEM de-pinger is nearly worthless
- Pressure gauge tends not to be accurate

I think he said it was his favorite gun.  But that was before he got a Sumatra.  Ask him which is his favorite now

But, all it took was handling the Armada for me to know it was a big mistake.
The Armada is ridiculously front heavy and unnecessarily long.

Keep in mind these are two different types of guns, rifle vs bullpup.  It is apples compared to oranges.     A bullpup would naturally be shorter than an equivalent rifle.   Now, if you compare it to other bullpups, 36" may be long.  For example, a Mrod in a MDRL bullpup stock is like 31".   So, best thing to do, is figure out which type, then pick a few brands/models of that type, to do the comparison.   Or buy one of each type

I picked these 2 because I like the black guns lol.

Hopefully, you will find someone that owns or has owned both, and can compare the two. 

From just reviewing PA specs, I'd say that the Bullboss may have slightly more power with similar shot counts, based on air volume.  Appears it may be louder than the Armada.   Seems you should find someone's reviews that includes shot strings and accuracy.   Evo should be able to help with any reviews and data he found to make his determination. 

If you have any additional questions specifically about the Armada or 25 cal Mrod, will certainly try to help answer them for you.  Some general thoughts I have on pros/cons of a Bullpup, and in my case a 25 cal Mrod in MDRL clothing. 

Pros:
- Better weight distribution of a heavy gun
- Can accommodate long airtubes/barrels in a smaller package
- Good for heavy brush/field hunting

Cons:
- Mechanical linkage to a trigger is never as good as the trigger by itself
- Head location is right next to the action.  Mechanical noise right next to your ear.
- Scope height is far from barrel like an AF gun. 
- Cocking while trying to hold on target is hard.  The side-lever should be better than the Mrod here, but your arm will still be chicken wing like.
- Did not like to shoot it from the bench, tall package on a sandbag tends to want to roll to the side

I used the 25 cal Mrod MDRL for a couple of years, and mostly liked it.  I did end up selling and getting a Sumatra carbine.  It too, is just a good powerful field hunter, but loud.  I also found the Armada too muzzle heavy, and sold off the furniture, and returned it to a rifle.

The real question is why Crosman doesn't pull their head out of their rectum an offer a .25 caliber Marauder Bullpup?

I, and hopefully most other Americans, prefer to buy American.
Why does Crosman force you to buy an import?
Or worse, why do they force you to modify and custom build a gun, requiring spending a significant amount of money?

You can see from my signature that I like my Hatsans, but the .25 Mrods/Armadas do have the Green Mountain barrels that are known to be super accurate.  If I'm to be honest here, I don't think you can go wrong with either gun generally speaking.  If it is a gun you plan to hunt with more, then the pup will be easier to handle.  The Hatsans are known for almost always making more power than they claim.  You can do a ton of modding and tuning without buying parts on the Hatsans, but the Armada has a ton of aftermarket parts available and can certainly be made into any configuration or tune you desire.  The introduction of the SSG and TSS for the Mrod based guns has brought their efficiency to the next level.

Out of the box, the Bullboss will probably have more power, and get a few more shots.  Both are plenty accurate.  The noise level on both is nearly the same, and both can be made really quiet when well tuned.  I do prefer the side lever cocking of the Bullboss.  It really does come down to personal preference on the style of gun you want and use.  I think both guns are great guns in their own right

I think if the OP reads between the lines of your post,  that was a vote for the Bullboss over the Armada.

Crosman 22 barrels have had issues for 4+ years that Crosman pretends to know nothing about and offers no solution.
Crosman adds a regulator to an old gun, and PCP to an ancient gun at Shot Show, while the competition is offering real advancements.
Crosman still doesn't offer a competitive bullpup.
The Armada is ridiculously front heavy and needlessly long.
