No need to cross your fingers.     I now got 2 and works with my Benjamin Maximus, my spare hose when I checked works too. I read it's got issues with air venturi stuffs.

In my case, the $70 pump works better than the $200+ Hill mk4. The Hill is smoother with much better workmanship, but the cheap pump works more efficiently and easily at 3000+ PSI. I just polished the tip of the brass relief valve to fix a small leak (but only past 3500 PSI). Just hand pumped and got my Guppy tank from 3500 to 3750 PSI with the cheap pump!

the one I bought has 6 balls in the brass foster connect and they seem to be properly constructed.

I have seen an original benjamin pump which came with 4 balls and was very tight to go on.

You can.  I assume you are referring to pumps with the inlet via the handles.  Simply plug the hole in one handle and insert a piece of flexible tubing into the other handle.  Run that tubing out to a small vessel filled with desiccant.

im pretty sure there is dessicant and filters in the top of the tube.. but it all depends which model i guess.IF theres not , u can always add a filtered setup.

I believe the type pump Lennyk is referring to is the style I purchased. The air intake port although centered between the two handle mounting screws in the brass cap, does not feed into the handlebar. Thus the port supplies air from under the handlebar, not through it.
The only way I see modding this is drilling/tapping the intake port and handle bar to accept an appropriate adapter. I suppose longer screws with sleeves could also be used, allowing space for a right angle adapter under the bar. Either way, the brass cap must be drilled and tapped. I think I would opt for drilling through both handle and cap, with a quick disconnect centered atop the handlebar, between the two handle screws.
