That's an awesome Prod! Now you need an extended hammer forged barrel from Marmot Militia

Quote from: Dairyboy on February 09, 2017, 01:45:55 AMThat's an awesome Prod! Now you need an extended hammer forged barrel from Marmot Militia I have always thought the original barrel that came with mine was a really good accurate barrel for the length but a longer barrel would surely bring up the velocity on mine as far as reaching out too, I might have to look into those barrels because I really like mine for squirrel, I could always make another shroud for it!
Looking really good Terry.
Great work!
TerryThe tune your prod had in it when you got it was not low on power but rather the stock tune they come with since mine is still fairly new and in stock form it was shooting 15.89s at 600 to 625 and back to 600 for 40 good shots on a 3000 psi fill. It is deadly accurate out to 50 yards as well in stock tune. That was with the hammer at 4 1/2 turns and stroke at 2 turns. I have since played with it to get 32 good shops per fill with the hammer at 4 3/4 turns and stroke at 1 turn shooting the same 650 to 630 fps for the 32 shots with 15.89s.I will in time tear into it to open up the TP port and match the barrel and valve plus play with the hammer and valve springs to hopefully get to the low 700 range for 24 plus shots. Right now it is nice to not have to fill as often and has plenty of FPE for hunting inside 50 yards. I like the look of yours and have a AR stock setup to install as well but never even thought of installing a magpul forearm on it. That just sets it off to really change the look and I am sure the feel of it fro one cool carbine. Job well done. I did have to Loctite my trigger screws also to keep them from loosening so make sure you check yours before they fall out.Mike
Thanks Mike! I'm contemplating giving it a little better performance. I plan to shoot it for a while and see how I like it at the current level and go from there.
