DIY Portable Target Stand

I have been on the hunt for a portable target stand for a while now. After looking around, I found one that I thought looked good:
https://www.pyramydair.com/product/champion-target-holder-folding?a=1885
It seemed to be a nice combination of portability and capacity for multiple targets. While it looked like it would work well for me, there always seemed to be something more pressing on which to spend $40.
If you are like me, looking at it you are reminded of the popular folding "bag chairs". it seems to use a similar construction.
It occured to me that it would be relatively simple to make my own target stand from an old chair we had laying in the garage.
I grabbed the old chair - removed 6 sheet metal screws, which was all that was required to remove the back, seat and arm fabric, leaving only the metal frame.
Now all I needed was the target board. Cardboard came to mind. Measured the distance between the back uprights - it was 19.5 Inches. I planned to mirror the commercial product and use binder clips to hold the target board in place.
Made a run to Wally World to pick up the binder clips sold in a box of 4 for $1.88, bought two boxes While I was there I took a look at what they had for foam board or cardboard. I found a "project display board" that measured 40x28 inches and had "hinged wings". Cutting that nearly in half means it would fit very neatly between my back uprights 19.5" apart.
While I was there, I thought I would take a look and see just what one would have to pay for a chair of this type if, unlike me, you did not have one laying around. The popularity of these chairs, and the huge number of makers competing for market share has driven the price way down. They were available here for $10.
Back home to put the finishing touches on my project. Cut the board just shy of in half, yeilding a target board and leaving me another in reserve for when I shoot up the original one. Attach the targets with push pins - It will hold 4 full 8.5x11" sheets. Here it is:
Ready for action
The reverse side
Folded
While I have not shot at it yet, hard to see what could go wrong.
So, with a chair at $10, a project board at $3.50, and 8 large binder clips at $3.76 the total comes to $17.76. Find an old chair being discarded and a chunk of cardboard, and you can put this together for a song.

That's pretty neat. This always puts a smile on my face with all the things you guys come up with. The only thing I hate is when the clerk ask "What is this for? " Ummmm.....for my daughter's school project? (I don't have kids BTW).
