Great string!  That is why opening everything up is beneficial even if you aren't trying to make big power.  It allows you to run a lower reg set point

Yes sir!! I'm going to tune a bit more tonight. After I experiment with some more spring combo's I might even turn the reg lower just to see how far the string can go.

Just keep in mind that a reg set point that is too low may make the velocity you want, but it can also waste air.  That is because the pressure leaning on the valve helping to close it is less, so the valve will stay open longer and waste air.  I'd even be willing to be that you will be able to raise your regulator set point 10-20 bar and get more shots.

Changes tonight were to remove the factory striker from the Hill light weight hammer and reinstall the flush striker that came with it. Result is a flat faced hammer that weighs 20g. Installed the stock hammer spring along with the long inner spring in the TSS. No preload. Free flight as per Travis's video.

ES is a little higher than I had hoped for @ 2.28 but hard to be disappointed with 63 shots @ 30fpe on a 3000 psi fill.

Thank you, Donnie! I think that is probably as good as I can tune it. I shot another tin of pellets trying different springs and very minute adjustments to the primary but could not improve on it. I just have less air and pellets now.

Thank you, John. Couldn't imagine 70 but I couldn't imagine 60 before last night either.  Apparently I stumbled onto the perfect reg setting. I still can't get my head around the physics of how all of this is possible at 1350psi. I've triple checked the gun gauge vs the fill station gauge and it truly is 1350psi. At higher pressures the gauge on the gun does not match the 5000psi Noshok glycerin filled gauge on the fill station that I trust much more. 3000psi on the fill station equaled 3200psi on the gun gauge before I installed the reg but both gauges match perfectly at the lower pressure.

One thing I did that made a big difference and allowed those last few shots was to really take my time filling the gun. When I started filling with the SCBA cylinders I noticed that even if I filled very slowly the gun would loose about 200psi or more when I let it set for a few minutes. I could then top it off and wait again. Might take a couple of times for it to stay put at 3000psi. Doubt most people actually have the fill pressure that they think they do unless they are doing the same.

The reg-master Scott (motorhead) has a thread here on GTA where he reg'ed a 22 Mrod.  He got 50 shots at 30FPE, but that was the days before SSG and TSS.  His set-point was around 1800psi.   Again, good work.

Thanks John! Some days dogged determination is a blessing, some days a curse.   

I feel like those extra shots are attributed mostly to the TSS. I'm not done experimenting with single springs just yet but I'd be very surprised if there was improvement over the current performance level.

1800psi seems much more reasonable as a set point and was right about where the reg was set initially but was obviously way too hot for how my gun is set up.

I don't see where you posted the ending pressure after the strings.  I am thinking the 63 shot string maybe using more than 1000 psi.  However, I have been able to do a number of 60 shot strings unregulated with a 1000 psi, but not at 2% ES.  With the regulator you can fill a little higher and still be somewhat safe.

Ending pressure was 1300. Guessing there was only 1or 2 shots off the reg. In further testing I see that the fps drops off virtually immediately once the gun gets off the reg.

Also, using the Airgun Calculator it works out to 1.42 efficiency. 27psi per shot using 190cc for the air res.
