I think the Audrius guys march to a little different beat on their regulators. I plan on installing it tomorrow so we will see.

Terry, did you do a lot of research on regulators before selecting yours?  I know you said the Audrious is what Tim Hill recommended, but I am curious if that was the only reason for your reg selection.  Did you have to drill a vent hole with this model?  If I did go the regulated route, I am not sure which regulator brand would be the best choice for my .22.  I'm thinking the HUMA with the .25 cal plenum might be a good choice, but I really have no clue in regards to longevity or maintenance and ease of use.  Maybe one is less likely to creep than others or have less parts to fail idk.

I bought it solely on Tim's recommendation. Did't hurt that is was much cheaper than any of the others. It vents through the gauge hole. You remove the gauge block O ring closest to the muzzle.

FWIW: The audrious with an open gauge block has a larger plenum than the 25 cal Huma.  It is probably larger than needed in a 22 cal.   That is not impacting Terry much, because he is using Hill valve and other parts, his set-point on the reg is quite low, and still getting the 30FPE. 

The huma cost a little more, but is less if you consider not have to buy an open gauge block.  You can also DIY a gauge block, though.  The huma shipping time is slightly less than audrious, I mean the "normal" shipping time, not the special one that Terry got.

I think the Audrius is still cheaper even with the gauge block but not by a lot. If I decide to reg the .25 I'll likely buy another one. Hopefully I won't get the special shipping next time.

Took time yesterday to disassemble the Armada and continue the mods. I drilled the barrel to .161 and installed the Hill .161 transfer port. The Hill valve already has a .161 exhaust port. I also modded the air stripper and installed the Auduris reg. I left it set at 120 bar (1740psi) even though my initial thought was that would be too low. Much to my surprise it was the exact opposite. Ended up turning it down to 1350psi. Here is that string. Still more tuning coming up but a pretty good start. This is with the WAR TSS with both springs zeroed. 45 shots with a spread of 17 and ES of 1.93. I'm amazed that it will make this much power with the reg set at 1350psi and zero preload on the hammer.

Great string!  That is why opening everything up is beneficial even if you aren't trying to make big power.  It allows you to run a lower reg set point
