I don't have the same pump but that is an interesting idea. Does the mod make it so you can only use it with  the air compressor or will it still work fun as a stand alone pump?

The pump works fine either way. Plus the added moisture removal of the extra filter.

Terry-REALLY nice work on the pump and your shot string looks great especially without installing the regulator yet!

Question:Could you please expand/explain the "chamfering" of the air tube a bit for this dummy? Does this mean taken a bit of material off of the inboard side of the gauge hole? I'd have to use a file, no dremel. Kinda scares me. I plan on getting Tim's kit eventually, gonna do the TSS first.

Thanks Ed!! Yes, basically beveling back the inside of the gauge hole in the air res. The edge is sharp and it is nearly impossible...for me anyway...to get the O ring past that edge without nicking it or outright tearing it in half. I have a pile of O rings in various stages of destroyed that testify to that. Would be easily done with a file. Just need a small, fine round file. You need to transform the 90 degree edge of the hole to more of a 45 degree bevel. I followed up the Dremel with some wet and dry sand paper that I just rolled up and used to smooth out the surface of the chamfer.

Thanks Denis!! It's all your fault.  After a few more shot strings I've settled with 20psi to the G6. That seems to be the best compromise between number of pumps and pumping effort. I was pretty impressed that I could go from 1700 to 3000 on 69 pumps.

Few more shot strings from this afternoon. I've decided to hold off with any more testing until I get the regulator. Still no tracking other than it was processed through the facility in Lithuania on 1.7.  I'll open up the TP to .160 when I install the reg. For now it's hard to be disappointed with these strings. Bad ES for the 40 shots but if I trim the ends off, it's not too bad for 30 shots. It certainly has some power now with lots of adjustment to go. Tim's parts really woke it up. I'm excited to see some numbers with the reg and the .160 TP. If we can dial down the ES, I'd say it's going to be pretty good.

Those are some nice looking strings , are you sure you're new at this ? Once you have the Reg in , the tuning is really gonna impress you . Forgot to ask if you got a good barrel or if you found the magic pellet. I use the cheapest pellets I can find for tuning , mostly crosman 14.3 grain from the tin . Don't forget to clean your barrel , especially after shooting a few thousand pellets during testing .

I never even saw a PCP gun in person before 2 weeks ago. I'm a researcher by nature. Some days a blessing. Some days a curse. Much of this must be credited to Tim Hill. He's held my hand throughout the process and obviously makes some great parts for these rifles. The basis of the experiment was could a total PCP newbie achieve a well tuned, accurate and high shot count gun with over the counter parts and no original knowledge. The jury is still out but it's looking promising.

Seems that this Armada has a good .22 barrel even though I'm still tempted to get a better HF barrel. It shot very well with the JSB 18.13's that I'm doing most of the testing with. It was worth it to me to test with the pellet that I'm most likely to be shooting. It also seemed to shoot the H&N 21.14's well so that's been the other choice. 1000+ JSB's and 400+ H&N's so far. I didn't want to test and tune with a lighter pellet that I'm unlikely to use since I've apparently become mesmerized by 30fpe.  The barrel is due a cleaning before I start tuning with the reg.

FWIW; You will not see any additional tracking until it hits the states.  There is allot of variance in shipping times.  You have to be patient.

Thanks Robert! I hope that the bulk of the testing is behind me. I don't plan any more mods except to add the reg and drill the barrel for the TP. Past that, I hope that we'll be down to a little spring adjustment and go to shooting. I've come this far with the JSB's so I'll probably just keep shooting them.

That's cool Terry, in case you did not know the AA's are made by JSB, more or less the same pellet except for JSB using AA's die for their pellets. Some say the AA's are slightly better quality.
 You can also get the AA's in 18.grains.

And as soon as I'm making progress, the foster connector spits out all it's ball bearings and it's junk. New one on the way from Air Venturi but no fun for me right now.

Well, interestingly enough the nice man at Air Venturi that was helping me told me that the junk quick connectors that they have "had a lot of trouble with" have a ball end fitting to match the particular hose that hey "were" using. Thus the real Foster fitting that they are going to send me now has to have that ball recess turned by hand on a lathe to match said cheapie hose....so.......

Well that kind of info I didn't need since I have an Air Venturi CF tank with their hose and fitting.  If that sucker should let go when I'm filling a gun and it has 4500 psi it wouldn't be pretty!

Just make sure that all 6 ball bearings are in the quick connector. I had been having trouble getting it on and off for the past few days. I figured out that the ball bearings were falling out when I saw one hit the floor. There was only 1 left in it. No telling how many times I had filled the gun with less than the required 6. Not a happy camper. I bought the combo from AGD specifically because it had the G6 pump. The pump is great but the cutting of corners on the hose and fittings...not so much. The guy that I talked to at AV had obviously seen this plenty of times before me. He assured me that the real foster would be fine. Also looks like it didn't get shipped today like it was supposed to either. Still just says that a label was created same as yesterday with no tracking.

I bought 2 - 45 minute CF tanks from a member here that are set to deliver tomorrow but they'll have to be hydro certified and waiting on fill rig etc... Looks like I'll be shooting the trusty NP2 for stress relief.
