What is the realistic upper power limit for a Crosman 2240?

I am curious (as I can't seem to find it anywhere) what folks have found to be the upper power limit is for a Crosman 2240 using the stock 7.5" barrel and keeping the gun on co2 (also considering normal weather conditions i.e. somewhere around 70 degrees (not 100). Any valve/transfer port etc. mods are allowed (even super-heavy pellets)... only restrictions are co2 and the stock barrel.

I was just getting into the 400fps range with the 14.3gr Crosman pellets if I remember correctly.  I don't have any stock 2240's anymore!

mine is doing 433, in a 60 degree, or so environment, in my basement. the only mod I've done, that would affect velocity, is an extended bolt probe. that's with the 14.3gr. cph's.
 I can see the stock gun getting 450 to possibly just shy of 500, in a warmer setting. I plan on getting a 10" barrel, eventually. that, in itself, should gain some added velocity, by utilizing more of the co2, that's being puked out of the muzzle, after Elvis has left the building.

This is not something I was looking to do, it was merely a thought experiment. I saw a forum post from a guy claiming he got his Benjamin EB22 (similar to 2240 though slightly lower FPS out of the box) to over 10 FPE with the stock barrel (I think it's about 6.5 inches) and was wondering if this was foul play or actually possible?

you can't go by that chart. it's for a 2400. the 2400 series have longer barrels than the 2240. the 2400 is a carbine, with a minimum barrel length of 10.5 inches. the 2240 is a pistol, with a stock barrel length of 6.75 inches.
I'm guessing the velocities stated are with a 14 inch barrel. that's the most common length ordered for the 2400kt carbine.

Yeah I was just going to say... Basically I was just thinking about some sort of a pistol that can remain well within the dimensions of a pistol... whether 10+ FPE is achievable

I get 457 to 460 FPS 2240 14" barrel  JSB 18.2 gr pellet

I serious doubt you would ever see 10 FPE with a 7.5" barrel, .22 cal, CO₂ at 70*F.... In fact, breaking 500 fps (8 FPE) is unlikely with 14.3 gr. pellets....
