Crosman Premiers seem to have been the #1 choice out of the box. My early model has the tighter baffles, which favor this pellet. Later versions are more forgiving. For whatever reason, I haven't found too many people recommending JSB Exacts in the Marauder. Didn't do worth a darn in mine, yet they are one of the best pellets made!

Orderd the Benji Marauder early this afternoon.
So far I will order crosman premiers, Beeman Crow Magnums and Kodiacs. Daveshoot, did you mean the premier round nose pellets?
Well everyone, what about the JSB Monster pellets that Paul Capello swore by on that Pyramid Air Video? Aren't they real heavy?
I do have some 15.9 grain JSB round nose pellets. Always worth a try.
Will need to order the pellets before bed time or before noon in the morning.
Thanks,
Larry

Premier round nose- I didn't try hollow points, no experience there. You can't go wrong with a box of CPs, they work pretty well in almost everything.

One thing to consider when using the CPs is that they will lead your barrel if you push them up much beyond 800fps.
Much as people swear by the CPs, I would only use them at lower velocities for that reason, instead seeking pure lead pellets not so apt to lead at higher velocities, such as the RWS Superdome, JSB Exact, or H&N Baracuda, Field Target Trophy, or Field Target.

You can also buy .22 roundhead Crosman Premiers in a tin...500 to a tin. They are called Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums, and Pyramyd carries them now.
I just fired off about 100 of them out of my Marauder .22. They work really good and I dont shoot field target. The field target guys say that there is a slight difference between the Premiers in the brown box and the Premiers in the tins. All I know is that I bought a boatload of the Ultra Magnums becuse they were a lot cheaper than the boxed ones. That was last year and I've been shooting them ever since.
They hit the ground squirrels the same every time.

Mine seems to like the Predators though you'll need the single shot tray as they are too long for the mags. But if you only need one shot... I guess that won't matter.

Mine too, Jim. But surprisingly, and unfortunately, the Polymags drop very quickly at long distances...compared to the CPs and Baracudas. They shoot straight, and drop right down straight. At 50 yards the Polymags are deadly though. But when I find the ground squirrels, they are usually beyond 50 yards.
What I found in my .22 Marauder, is that, at distances of say 75 yrds and beyond, the Baracudas are best...even beating the CPs. The Baracudas dont wander with the wind as much, and they still pack a punch when they hit. I have to elevate an extra 1 to 4 mildots though, to compensate for the heavier weight of the Baracudas. When those babies hit a ground squirrel at 75~80 yards, the critters usually go down on the spot, as long as the shot is upper body or head. If I use CPs at that distance, a ground squirrel may not drop and just keep on going, usually into its burrow where they expire. Unless its a square headshot. A good square headshot at 80 yrds with a CP will drop em on the spot, sometimes with a little tail flashing, and sometimes just dead still. Its really difficult to hit them way out there like that.
Its not uncommon for the hawks/vultures to show up within a short time, to feast on the groundsqs that are down.
I'm really curious to see how the Polymag .25 turns out. They are supposed to be out soon. I'll be nabbing me some of them puppies real quick, so's I can see what they can do.
